Sans stood waiting at the front of MTT resort, Frisk should've been here by now, did she need help? he wondered. As if on signal Frisk came walking up the stairs, "Hey kiddo" Sans greeted with a wave as she smiled at him, he could've sworn he'd seen her looking upset and nervous as she came up the stairs, "Wanna grab dinner?" he asked, Frisk nodded.
"Cool, come on. I know a shortcut" He walked around the side of the building followed by Frisk, he grabbed her arm and teleported them into the dining area of the resort, Frisk laughed a small bit and sat down across from Sans, "So, your journey's almost over kiddo" he said, "I've told you this story before so I'll ask you something else." She nodded, "Why have you been acting so strange?"
Frisk looked around, it was like time had stopped. She had been scared he'd ask this but she sighed, "Sans, ever since the last timeline I've been watched, watched by Gaster..." She could tell tears were coming down her eyes, "Every conversation I have he listens into, please, PLEASE, keep this between us... I don't want the other to worry." she finished, that was harder than she thought it'd be, but it was nice to finally tell someone.
So that was why she'd been acting so strangely, thought Sans, "Look kid, I made a promise to protect you, that's what I'm going to do, even from this Gaster." he assured her as time resumed around them, "Just get through the core kid, because someone really cares about ya."
He watched as she got up and left, she'd call him when she got through the core, after ordering a bottle of ketch-up and drinking it he got up and left, teleported himself home to his brother, Papyrus. He went up to his room and crashed onto his bed, falling asleep instantly.
