Fevers suck

John POV
I am up in Thunderbird 5 working when I start to feel cold. "Hey EOS turn up the heating will you," I ask as it feels freezing up here as we're in space which is always colder than being on earth.

"John I don't feel like the heating needs turning up as it's quite warm up here" EOS replies " I really feel cold though EOS," I say, not sure what is going on, then I'm suddenly hot and sweating.

Now I'm really confused " EOS is it me or is it really warm," I say wondering why I went from shivering and cold to sweating and hot it's weird " John I have run a scan and your body is way warmer than it should be".

"EOS what should I do," I ask confused " I recommend calling Scott" EOS replies "Thunderbird 5 to Tracy island," I say hoping Scott will answer "Hey John what's wrong" I hear Scott reply.

I'm happy Scott answered "Scott for some reason I started to feel cold and now I feel really hot as if I'm on fire," I say to my older brother, he looks confused before he responds with " I'll send Alan to come and get you"

"FAB Scott thanks" I respond and wait for Alan to come and pick me up. 5 minutes later Alan docks Thunderbird 3 to Thunderbird 5 "hey John" says my youngest brother "hey Alan" I reply but it sounds really hoarse.

I don't know what's wrong with me. 5 minutes later we land on Tracy Island, Scott's there to meet us. Alan goes to the living room while Scott takes me to my bedroom and gets me to lay down.

" John I'm going to get a thermometer and some medicine, it will probably be best to take that suit off," my older brother tells me. I nod and when Scott has gone I start to take off my suit.

After taking off my suit, I put on a T-shirt and some sweatpants. Scott then walks in with
A thermometer and some medicine. Scott grabs the thermometer and puts it in my mouth.

While Scott waits to find out what my temperature is he goes to the kitchen and gets me a glass of water. When he gets back he takes the thermometer and looks at it "John you've got a fever" Scott tells me.

"Ugh," I groan and bury my face into my pillow, pretending that I didn't hear what Scott said. "John you have got to take some medicine" Scott reminds me. I start to bury my face further into my pillow.

"John please will you take the medicine," Scott asks, I take my face out my pillow and nod my head "you're going to need to sit up properly though John," my older brother tells me. Once I have sat up Scott gives me the medicine.

"You should get some sleep John" I nod at my brother's statement, then start to close my eyes and fall asleep hoping when I wake up I will feel better, as I don't want to be out of Thunderbird 5 for too long.

Scott POV
" I'm going to go and check on John," I tell the others. I start walking towards johns room, when I get there I open the door quietly as to not wake John. I then grab the thermometer and check John's temperature.

When I see it I shout "Virgil, Alan, Gordon" they all come rushing in and see the temperature on the thermometer. Gordon and Alan rush into John's bathroom and start to run ice cold water into the bath.

Me and Virgil start to move John, "Scott the baths ready," says Gordon "thanks me and Virgil will take care of John," I say. Both boys leave the room leaving me and Virgil to help John.

Once me and Virgil have got John out of his soaked in sweat clothes we place him in the cold water and grab a washcloth. I dip the washcloth into the water and place it on johns warm forehead.

John POV
When I wake up, I find I'm not in my bedroom but in my bathroom. I move my arms to rub my temples to help with an oncoming headache, when I notice I'm in freezing cold water in my bath.

I place my hands on my forehead to find a washcloth. I'm wondering how I got in my bath. My question is soon answered as Virgil walks into my bathroom. " hey John how are you feeling".

" I feel freezing and my head hurts" I reply to my brother question "sorry about the freezing cold water, basically your fever had gotten worse so we had to put you in cold water to bring your temperature down" Virgil responds.

I nod, then I start to shiver as I am in freezing cold water so Virgil drains the water and helps me stand up as I'm very cold. Virgil lets me put my hands on his shoulders as he wraps me in a warm towel and he lifts me out gently setting me on the floor.

After he sets me on the floor I'm about to stand but I'm so cold that I fall to the floor, luckily Virgil catches me and sits me down on the toilet seat. " I'm going to go and get Scott" Virgil tells me, I nod and keep the towel wrapped around me.

Scott soon walks into my bathroom, he has a pile of clothes with him, he sets the clothes down and starts to help dry me off and warm me up, he also has another towel and starts to dry off my wet hair.

"How are you feeling John" Scott asked me as he was drying me off "I've felt better really" I reply as I fell a little bit off "well your temperature isn't as high as it was which is good"

I just nod and sit there as I'm still a little cold. Scott then grabs a T-shirt and helps me get on then he grabs the sweatpants, after putting them on Scott helps me stand up and walks me to my bed.

Once I'm in bed Scott gives me some medicine, after having the medicine I felt really drowsy and tired. So I get comfy, as I feel like I'm going to fall asleep, Scott notices this so he gives me a small smile and leaves me to rest, I then close my eyes and get some rest.
