Today of all days I was feeling risky but for me risky is drinking milk instead of my regular almond milk and knowing I was going to regret it. That wasn't the kind of risky I was talking about I was talking about shopping at stores I knew I couldn't afford.
I've had money saved up to move from my hometown to somewhere else but since Mrs. Thompson did it for me I had money to blow. Which of course is an idiotic way of dealing with my money but why not I deserve it I've been good, my business is successful, and I have kept working out.
On my fine day off I walk into YSL maybe to buy a lipstick or a purse depending on how risky I feel. I look at a couple things I walk around for what feels like seconds but was already a half hour and I could tell the employees were growing annoyed with me just browsing and touching everything. A man and a woman then come up to me which I thought I was getting kicked out because I am super paranoid but they invite me to the back where they were working on this beautiful black suit with gold accents on the suit.
I am amazed by the suit and all the details that have been put into this suit but as I am admiring the suit a man with a very heavy accent I'm guessing French maybe or Italian I couldn't really tell because I'm just a terrible person like that. He stands in front of the suit blocking my view and just says
"You're beautiful." And as I go to thank him he says "it's not a compliment it's a statement"
"How do you feel about modeling?" He asks and I say "I've never done it but I'd love to try it" he says "great. You will be wearing the matching dress to this suit and walking with Shawn Mendes at the Met Gala." He then approaches me and starts measuring me. I was very confused and really caught of guard by this very straight forward man it's like I couldn't tell him no.
After a couple hours of measuring and putting color swatches near me I was allowed to go home. I was exhausted and still very confused. I was told they would fly me out a few days before the met I'd get my own hotel room and they would have a team get me ready. Other than that I wasn't given any more information and was contacted every once in a while to see how I was doing and to do a couple fittings before the event.
