Chapter 2

Hey All,

I know that it's been a little while since i said that i would upload and i'm very sorry. i've been busy with work and school. so here's chapter 2 in Jamie's POV as promised.

By the way, i changed the ages of Jamie and Sean. they are both now 18.

Chapter 2

Jamie POV

"JAMIE!! WAKE UP!!"

I groaned, my little sisters, Blair and Catriona, who were 6 and 7 respectively, were jumping all over my bed, and since i was in it, me. "Come on you two! Knock it off and let me get back to sleep!"

Riona (Catriona) giggled and said, "But it's time for school Jamie! Mom says that if you don't get up now you'll be late!"

I bolted upright in bed and looked over at my alarm clock on the bedside table. 6:50! "Crap, I'm gonna be late!!" I yelled and jumped out of my bed, knocking my little sisters over in the process. Luckily they weren't anywhere near the edge of my massive king-size bed, if they were i'd be in soooo much trouble since i'm the "older, more responsible one" according to my mom.

As soon as i checked to make sure that my little sisters were all right I jumped out of my bed, ran to my closet, grabbed some clothes, and ran into my bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth since i didn't have any time to eat breakfast. Man, I hope that this year I get to meet my soul mate.

*** at school***

Man, I made it just in time! Isla and Skye, two of my sisters that are in high school with me had left the house as i was getting ready. I looked down at my schedule and saw that i had Mrs. Simon, a human mate to one of the older pack members, as the teacher for my first class, Pre-Calc!! UGH!! i despise math. I'm pretty sure that it is the devil incarnate!

Anyways, I walked into the classroom and noticed that not everyone was here yet. I could've cheered because that meant that I wouldn't get in trouble since i wasn't the only one who be walking in late. Plus, it's the first day of school, they have to give us a little slack don't ya think? Great, now i'm talking to myself! I'm going crazy!!!!

I looked around the classroom to see if there was anyone that i knew in this class. I saw none of my good friends but i did notice a new girl who had dark blonde hair and what looked to me to be muddy brown eyes and a slightly tanned complextion. She was watching me and as soon as she noticed me looking at her she smiled in a way that she must have thought was seductive but i thought made her look like a fish out of water.

Just then the bell rang and Mrs. Simon began to take role. I learned that the new girl's name was Katherine O'Connell. Hmm, she must be Irish. Wonder where she moved here from. Oh well. I wasn't interested so i just waited to get through my classes until lunch.

***at lunch***

Finally! Lunchtime! I had that annoying new girl Katherine in all of my classes. She had practically attacked me after math class and asked me to show her around the school since she was new. So of course i asked her for her schedule and when i looked at it i wished that i hadn't asked. She had every single class with me! This was going to be a long day.

Anyways, back to lunch, i got in the line for lunch and grabbed about 3 slices of cheese pizza, and a Dasani water. I hated the taste but it was the only water that the school sold so i had to put up with it. I looked around for my best friend Sean McKenzie and saw him sitting with Isla, who happened to be his mate, Skye, her mate Brian, and the most gorgeous girl i have ever seen! She had the deepest red hair i have ever seen. She had a slim figure and was petite, out of all of the people at that table she was the shortest by about 3 inches which put her at about 5'3". Which compared to my 6'7" height made her tiny.

I walked over to the table and sat down next to the gorgeous new girl. I looked at her and as soon as i looked into her amazingly deep green eyes i knew she was the one. She was my mate! I was mentally doing a happy dance. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Isla cleared her throat and said, "Jamie, meet Sophie O'Connell. She just moved here from Ireland. Soph, this is my older brother Jamie."

O'Connell... O'Connell... where do i know that name?! Oh, well, i'll figure it out later. right now i still can't look away from my mate's eyes. Wait, her mouth is moving. What is she saying?! Then all of a sudden, i remember why the name O'Connell sounded so familiar! Katherine's last name is O'Connell!

So i did the only thing i could do. "Are you by any chance related to a Katherine O'Connell?" i asked.

She grimaced for a split second and then said, "Yes, she's my older sister. Much to my dismay."

Her voice almost pushed me over the edge. Where her sister's voice is annoying and whiny. Sophie's voice was crystal clear and sweet and husky and.... slow down cowboy. Take it one step at a time, i told myself because if i wasn't mistaken, my mate was also human. I wonder what she thinks of me since i'm the one that won't stop staring at her. I wonder if she'll let me talk to her after school.

***after school***

i ran out of my last class with Katherine practically running to catch up... as if i wanted her to catch up to me. i saw my mate talking to a boy who looked like he could be Katherine's younger twin so i assumed he was her brother. I walked up to them and asked Sophie if i could talk to her and then Katherine interrupted saying, "Why do you want to talk to that loser Jamie? She's just my annoying and worthless sister."

I wanted to hit Katherine right then and there. No one, and i mean no one, talked about my mate that way. Sophie didn't looked fazed one single bit as if this was a normal occurence and she was used to it. i wondered why.

Sorry guys, i've gotta go get ready for work otherwise this portion of the story would be soooooo much longer! anyways, i'll try to upload the next chapter tonight if my laptop is cooperating. if not then i'll upload on tuesday since i have that day off.
