I wake up to the sound of leaves crunching and twigs snapping. My eyes widen and I jump up, grabbing what little I have and start running. After running for a little while, the noises stop. I sigh in relief and sit down against the tree. I feel my eye lids getting heavier and I close my eyes. I'm halfway asleep when I feel someone grab my shoulder. My eyes snap open and I scream. "Hey, hey baby its okay. Its me. Its Gerard." He says softly. I slowly calm down and hug him tightly. "W-Why are you here?" I ask. He giggles and picks me up bridal style, "Well when your boyfriend sends you a text saying he won't be in school because of "family issues" and his dad is abusive, a guy would worry" he says as he surveys the damage my dad did. "Cmon, love. Let's get you cleaned up. I wanna see your pretty face" he giggles and carries me to his house.
When we get to his house, he sets me down on his couch and rushes to the bathroom. He comes back a few minutes later with the correct supplies. He kneels in front of me and gets to work. I wince as the peroxide burns my cuts. After about an hour, he's finally finished. He puts all the supplies away and sits next to me, pulling me into his arms. "How do you feel, love?" He asks softly, "in pain" I mumble miserably. He giggles and kisses me gently. "It'll go away soon" he promises. I bury my face in his chest and whimper. He holds me closer and whispers sweet words and encouragement in my ear.
A few hours later, we decide to go to bed. He carries me upstairs and lays me down gently, careful not to hurt me. He takes off his shirt and pants and crawls in bed next to me. I lay my head on his chest and instantly fall asleep as he plays with my hair.
