day 2 pushing the block.

as alphonse and i walked to class we talked about what eric might have us do, "well this is the combat class he'll probably teach us how to fight" alphonse said. as we walked in the seats were floating rocks, they were all spaced evenly, "everyone take a seat" eric said he stood in the front of the sunken class room. "mr. veile york would you come here," eric said his face in a large leather book that was floating in front of him. alphonse came walking down from where his seat floated, he stopped in front of eric, the book eric was reading floated down to his desk, he looked up at alphonse his eyes weren't cold they were warm, he held out his hand to alphonse, alphonse shooke it, it's good to see you alphonse it's been a while, eric said, a while alphonse said, we were worried when you disappeared from oxford. well it's not my fault i'm the chairman's grandson, how are your parent eric asked him, there good,other students began to file in were suprised, you've aged well i see eric said, well you know i'm not a crassus tri-hybrid but i'm still a tri-hybrid, i see you favor your vampire side eric said. well enough of this eric said class is about to start. stay for a moment, everyone eric said, face forward. as a large gold cube with large veins of royal blue and crimson red appeared in it. in order for me to teach you as a long line appeared a few meters away from where the block stands i need to know how strong each and everyone of you is, we'll do this by volunteering, to demonstrate, alphonse veile-york has volunteered to go first, alright alphonse said as he put both hands on the cube and pushed. he kept pushing till it was past the line, good next, eric said as the cube disappeared and reappeared where it was before. i went up next and tried pushing, the thing was heavy, it was like pushing a skyscraper, time eric said, nice try jerry, a vampire went next he barely pushed it an inch, a werewolf went next and pushed it a little farther than the vampire eventually everyone had gone.

Now some of you might say that i did that easily because it's my own aura he said as the block vanished, and you are correct but i know how strong i am, many of you know, or should know what it means to be mature for your race, now i'm 40 and i reached my own maturity at the age 21. some of them looked shocked others looked awe struck. now we are going to something new that many of you have not done, if you have done it then enlightenus when i tell you what it is. Now we are going to the outdoor training yards. as we followed the professor we stopped in the courtyard training aree, for outdoor practice. as stone dummies began to form from the ground metal swords appeared in front of you, now the real combat begins eric said, your jobs are to hack down theses stone dummoes, they won't move, now the swords are all the same so are the dummies, the objective is to cleanly take of the arms, the head and the torso, but by doing it cleanly i mean that it takes one slash and it's done, youare allowed to try again if it's not clean, witches you are not to use magic on the dummies to cut them in half,  but you can use magic on the sword if you know how to, so your end result eric said as a golden sword with a red stripe down the middle of the flatside of the blade should look like this eric said as in a millisecond the dummy was in pieces it's arms were chopped of, as was it's head and torso, the cuts were clean, now vampires and shifters, you can not use your bare hands, you must use a sword. Now ready eric said begin. I picked up a sword and approached a dummy, taking a stance, i don't know how to use a sword, you can help each other, i never said this was an individual effort. i kept swinging but i just kept making minute dents in the rocks. Keep trying, eric said, keep trying till you get it right, an hour later, i was sweating my arms were soar and i don't think i could swing the blade anymore. Alright eric said, you can stop and the swords disappeared as did the dummies, all of you, eric said as he walked around, need to gain some more stamina and arm strength, those of you that suceeded, still need to work on your stamina and arm strength. Tomorrow I'm Testing your reaction time, with what a student asked, with arrows eric said, made of ice. As me and alphonse walked back to the dorm, well alphonse was fine i was limping along with alphonse's support as was everyone else.
