What a wonderful world

Sanctuary.
              It was a small yet comfortable neighbourhood. The neighbours were very helpful as you moved into a small house. You lived across the street from a lovely couple. They were in their thirties and already had a small child named Shaun. To you, he was an absolute angel. A few months passed with you in the neighbourhood and eventually, Nora and Nate became like a second family. Currently, you were reading the newspaper with Nora tending to Shaun, the small infant cooing at his mother.             

                       "Hey (Name), I was thinking maybe you could watch Shaun tonight? Nate and I have to go to the veterans hall tonight. " She said. Smiling you nodded. You had nothing else to do. It wasn't like you could just go to your parents as they along with most of your family were in Detroit.

                        "Sure. It'll be fun!" you chirped happily "Right Codsworth?"You called out to said robot as you craned your head to look at him. Codsworth floated over and stopped next to the couch.

                      "Of course Mis (Name)! There Is nothing I love more than tending young Shaun!" He said cheerfully. Nora gave a smile. "Thank you (Name). There are some Nuka cola and some food in the fridge. You help yourself to whatever you'd like." She said. You smiled as you let out a hum in appreciation. Nora was always so nice. "Thank you, Nora," You said as you folded the paper and got up, placing the paper on the coffee table. Nodding she got up as well and Nate walked over "Hey, Name. Can I speak to you for a second? " He asked as Shaun began crying so Codsworth began to head over to check on him. Nora smiled walking into the room with Codsworth.

                        "So Military man, what did you want to talk about? " You asked laughing at the Nickname you had given Nate a while back. Nate let out a chuckle as he shook his head. "I wanted to go out with Nora tomorrow. Halloween is coming and all. I just wanted a night where it would be Just me and her, You know? So I was wondering if you were doing anything tomorrow night. " He said. Smiling you shook your head 

                    "Well, Nora and I agreed that I would watch Shaun tonight as you and her head to the veterans hall. But if you need me again tomorrow, I can handle him" You said happily. Nate smiled in appreciation. "Thank you. If you want, you can spend the night here. I plan on taking Nora out for a bit if you catch my drift. " He said winking at you playfully. Rolling your eyes you gently punched his shoulder "You big goof. So much for stopping at Saun" You said. Chuckling, Nate went back to his wife in Saun's Room. Walking back towards the kitchen/ Livingroom/ Dining room you smiled at the robotic butler. Codsworth always seemed to have something about him that brightened everyone's mood. That, and he seemed almost human. Not his looks of course, but the way he interacted with others was different. If anyone was down, he would try and cheer up, as if he cared about peoples health. In a way, he was more human than others hoped to be.

                             "Hello there Miss (Name)! Would you like any coffee? I brewed some fresh this morning" He said. Nodding at the robot, Codsworth turned and gave you a steaming mug of coffee. "Thank you, C-" A doorbell soon cut you off and your head towards the door. Sighing, you walked to the door and opened it up. There He was. The one guy You have been trying to avoid for so long. The Vault-tec salesman.

                             " Good morning! Valtec calling!" He said cheerfully. You quietly let out a sigh. You also knew that Nora was also Trying to ignore this guy too. "Oh! Are the misses or mister Home or are you covering?" He asked.
"Come on, it's just a bit of paperwork, the sooner you get it done, the sooner he'll leave. " Nate said as both he and Nora walked into the room. Nora sighed as she walked forward and took the clipboard, filled out an empty age and handed it back to the guy. "Now get the fuck out of here" She snapped. Smiling you shook your head. Of course, you really didn't want to fill the papers out but you knew he was going to ask you as well.
