               The trip to Diamond wasn't boring, to say the least. The creatures of the Commonwealth made suspense hang in the air. Although you tried your best not to be spotted. You knew you would have to kill eventually but you really didn't want to. You just wanted to believe that this was all just a bad dream and that you'd wake up, able to call your parents and other family members and tell them that you loved them. But even you knew you couldn't.

           Arriving at the entrance, you saw a young woman yelling at the intercom. Apparently, she was refused entry. Walking up, she smiled as she motioned to you to come closer. "Hey, you. You want in too right? " she asked and you nervously nodded. "Uh...I just got here but...yeah" you said. Soon enough she had scared the person on the other side of the intercom to open the doors, Codsworth, her and You entered to see a large man with a scowl on his face. Apparently, the girl's name was Piper. The man turned to you with a raised eyebrow. 

              "May I ask what your business is here? " he asks as he folds his arms. Nodding you began to explain. "You see, a...Nephew of mine...He was stolen, he's less than a year old" you say. Piper gasped. "you hear that Mcdonough? Her family was stolen, Are you just going to sit on your asses this while she is hopelessly looking around for him?'' she demanded, but the mayor had none of it. Shaking his head he looked at you "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I cannot help you. But when you get inside, Look for someone named Nick Valentine. He should be able to help you" he said before walking off.

                Piper let out a huff " Asshole" she grumbled. After a few seconds she glanced over at you.  "Anyways, hey Red, once you're done, come by to my office. I'd like to interview you" She said. You thought for a moment before looking over at Codsworth. And although he couldn't shrug or anyting you had a feeling that's what he would be doing. Looking back at Piper, you nodded, " alright. I'll find you later" you said as you began to walk off and you went into Diamond city, Codsworth following behind you.

The place was spectacular. Compared to everything else you've seen in the commonwealth, Diamond city was truly something else. It gave you hope actually. Hope that, if these people could make it out here, so could you. "Miss (Name)" Codsworth called out to you. Turning to the robot for an answer, he stopped in front of you.

            "I'd Like to get something off this old Proverbial Chest. I just want to say what it is. for me to accompany you. You have no idea the horror these past two centuries have wrought. I know I was meant to be at Mum's side. But she's changed. Although I'd hate to say it, she has this look in her eyes, and it doesn't seem like the loving one she had those centuries ago" He said. You bit your lip with a shrug "Maybe. She seemed a bit eager to take the raiders down at Concord. But perhaps it's just a way to cope. I don't want to jump into any assumptions" You said. Codsworth hummed in agreement "Perhaps. Do you know what kept me going while you four were gone? It was all those memories of Mum, Sir, You and young Shaun. To most, I seem like just an average Mr handy robot, But I consider you family. I just hope you share the same view. " He said.

               You smiled widely at this. Honestly, this was the happiest you've been since exiting the vault. "Of course Cosworth. I see us as nothing less" You said, patting on the top of his crome like head. Codsworth let out a chuckle. "You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you say that. Anyways, I'm sure you don't want to hear my blabbering. Shall we get a move on?" He asked.

                Nodding you cleared your throat "Actually, Cosworth. I need you to head back to Sanctuary. You need to tell Nora I found help. And don't worry, this place seems safe. I'll just inform this nick character of what happened so Nora won't have to through the pain again" You said.
