“thank you everyone for the gift to Jasmine, Hayes is making dinner, we will eat dinner, then we will eat cake, so you can hang out or go in the pool, all little kids if you want to go in the pool ask an adult” I say
I go into the kitchen with Hayes
“Thank you for cooking” I tell him
“No problem” he says
We kid
“EWW no PDA” Nash yells coming into the kitchen
We laugh, Hayes goes back to cooking and it’s been awkward between me and Nash ever since the whole situation with Hayes and the phone mix up. I go into the living room; I sit on the couch with Matt and Tristan.
“Mommy, my friends and I want to go into the pool” Jasmine asks me
“I will take them” Tristan says
“Thanks” I say
They go into the pool. I sit on the couch and relax
“Wake up amber, food is ready” Hayes says shaking me
I open my eyes
“Sorry, I fell asleep” I tell him
I get off the couch. I put my hair in a ponytail and I go into the kitchen and grab some food and sit outside with everyone. We ate and talk. Then we had cake. All the kids leave. It was Tristan, Sam Hayes, Jasmine and myself left at the house
“Amber you sit back and relax” Hayes says
He goes inside and I sit and relax on the lounge chair
“Jasmine, let’s get you ready for bed” I tell her
We go inside and go up to her room and I give her a bath; I dress her and tuck her in bed
“Mommy, I love you” Jasmine says
“I love you too” I say
I shut off her light and I go downstairs. I sit with Hayes on the couch. We go upstairs to bed and I fall asleep
*11 YEARS LATER*
Jasmine is 17 years old now. I am 32 now. Hayes and I got married. I am pregnant and due any day now. Jasmine is in grade 11. Today is her first day of grade 11. Sam and Tristan moved out but they still live in our neighbourhood. They got married 2 years ago. So Sam is my sister in law.
“Jasmine wake up you need to be at school in 2 hours and I will drive you wake up I am sore and pregnant and I can’t handle fighting today wake up” I tell her standing her in her room doorway
“I’m up” Jasmine yells
