I cant hold on

Toni was sick

Toni started being sick alot and become very weak. She spent alot of time in bed sleeping. I ran around after her, making sure she was ok. She didnt want to eat or drink and coughed alot. She had a fever and was sweating and shovering uncontrollably. After a week, I called the doctor. She was too weak to get out of the house so the doctor had to come to ours. He did alot of tests and asked if I me in private if I could take her into hospital to check her properly. What? How bad is it? Will she be ok? Whats wrong with her? All these questions ran around in my head, i couldn't think straight. He just said he needed to do more tests but I knew it was more than that. I led him out the house after I told him I could get her in the hospital sometime next week. I watched him drive the car out of the street and went straight upstairs to check on Toni. She was half asleep and didnt know what was going on. I made her Lentil soup but she ate less than half of it. I got her a cup of peppermint tea but it went cold. She wasnt herself and it was really worrying me. I had already taken a couple of weeks off of work and I didnt know how much more time I could get off. I was about to take the tray back to the kitchen so I tucked Toni in before I went down stairs. While I moved the duvet, I felt something on her hip. A lump.
