Leafshadow's Exile

Leafshadow

Leafpaw bolted into the trees. His patrol only had three cats-- two now that he had gone to warn Cloudstar- and they were up against what looked like every WindClan warrior. He burst into the camp and ran strait into the center before stopping.

"WindClan has invaded!" Leafpaw announced. Cloudstar walked up to ask what had happened. "Every warrior joined the patrol. They ambushed us from the caves."

"How dare they!" Cloudstar snarled. "WindClan have always been dirty prey stealers. It's no wonder they stopped so low as to launch a surprise ambush."

"We need help. There were only three cats on the patrol including me." Leafpaw pleaded.

"Molewhisker, Mousewhisker, Cherryfall, Berrynose, Poppyfrost, Blossomfall, Bumblestripe!" Cloudstar yowled. "Round up the apprentices and come with me to the caves. We're heading into battle."

They dashed out of camp and leaped into battle at the caves. Leafpaw leaped onto a light brown Tabby and raked his spine. Almost immediately some of both WindClan and ThunderClan warriors stared at him as if he had come from StarClan.

"He's defeated Onestar!" One cat murmured.

"And he's only an apprentice," another said.

So that explained it. Leafpaw, a ThunderClan apprentice, had defeated Onestar, the WindClan leader. When he looked down at Onestar, Leafpaw realized that he was growing fairly old. That must be why he had defeated the Tabby so easily. The two clans stopped battling and went their separate ways, back to their own territories.

Leafpaw got back to camp and watched as Cloudstar climbed up the Highledge.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath Highledge for a clan meeting!" Cloudstar yowled.

When all of ThunderClan was gathered beneath him he spoke.

"You all saw what Leafpaw did today. I think that alone proves he is ready to become a warrior. Leafpaw,step forward." Cloudstar leaped down from his perch in front of Leafpaw. "I, Cloudstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your Noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." He took a breath before continueing. "Leafpaw, from this day forward you shall be known as Leafshadow. StarClan honors your intelligence and courage in battle."

Cloudstar rested his head on Leafshadow's and Leafshadow licked his shoulder respectfully. So that was it. Leafpaw was now a warrior, to be known as Leafshadow.
