"I don't get the point of this stupid dance anyway." Seamus groaned, laying his head down on the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall.

"If you look at it positively, it will end up being really fun. You'll see." Dean said, patting an upset Seamus on the back.

You laid your head down on the table next to Seamus so that you were both facing each other.

"Dean is right. He and I will be there too, so it will be fun. Now wipe that frown off your face and give me a smile."

He stared at you for a second before smiling and sitting back up.

"If you say so."

You sat up too before looking at Dean.

"Who will you be asking to the dance, Dean?"

He shrugged.

"I want to ask one of the Patil sisters, considering they are the most beautiful girls in the school."

You looked at Seamus and made a face.

"I didn't know you had a thing for those two." Seamus said, mirroring your confused face.

He nodded and glanced over at them.

You cleared your throat. "So what is stopping you from asking one of them?"

"They obviously fancy Harry. They wouldn't want to go with me."

You frowned. "I'm sure the right girl will come up. Just wait and see."

He nodded and smiled. "Thanks (Y/N)."

You flashed him a smile before turning to Seamus.

"And who will you be asking?" You wondered.

"I don't know." He muttered.

You smirked and nudged him in the ribs. "Maybe you should ask Lavender."

Dean burst out into a fit of laughter and Seamus sent you a death glare.

"I wanted to stick a fork in my eye after dancing with her for five minutes last week. I couldn't handle her for a whole night. She talks way too much! I'd rather take a banshee..."

You laughed and looked over at her, making sure she didn't hear what Seamus had said. Thankfully, she didn't.

"I don't know then Seamus. Perhaps one of the girls from a different house." You suggested.

"No. I have my eye on someone to ask. It just isn't the right time yet." He said.

You frowned and stretched your arms above your head. "Suit yourself. You had better not wait too long though. She might already have a date when 'the right time' comes around."

Dean looked from Seamus to you. "What about you? Has anyone asked you yet?" He asked.

You slowly shook your head. "No. But," You leaned in closer and started to whisper. "I think that Durmstrang boy over there might ask me soon. He's been staring at me all week."

You moved your head to the left, motioning towards the Durmstrang that was, indeed, staring at you.

Seamus and Dean looked over at him before looking back at you. "What'll you tell him if he does ask?" Seamus whispered.

You shrugged your shoulders. "I dunno. Durmstrangs seem too physical to me. Although, he is quite attractive."

And with that, you were off. You slung your bag over your shoulder and began walking to the common room, leaving the boys to dwell on what you had just said. You even offered the Durmstrang a small smile when you walked by him.

Eh, lots of dialogue in this one. And some Lavender hate too. But fear not my dear friends! She and Seamus will both get more love in future chapters. The next part will be up very soon. I hope you enjoyed. Comments and votes are very much appreciated!
