Taylor Caniff

Kennedy and Tyler left about three hours ago, so they could go pack up and get ready to move in the new house with us tomorrow morning. In those three hours I had tried explaining the whole situation over text to Dillon about five times and he still didn’t understand any of it, other than the fact that I somehow have a sixteen year old sister who looks like the girl version of me. So of course he drove over here so we could game and I could try and explain to him.

“How the hell are you going to explain to the fans that you have a sister that you literally just met like three hours ago?”

“Honestly I have no clue, but I was thinking maybe we could do a YouNow and have the fans tweet us questions and we could let them get to now her that way,” I tell him looking at the screen as I maneuvered through the cop filled streets on Need For Speed.

“That’s not a bad idea,” he says taking a swig of his Gatorade, “you could even have a hashtag like #AskCaniff on twitter where they ask the questions.”

“I’ll text her and ask if she’s okay with doing that, ‘cause I feel like introducing her this way might minimize the hate she gets from the fans.” I say, pausing the game and sending her a quick text.

I seriously just don’t want her to have to deal with all the hate from my haters and fans who she’s done nothing to. I don’t even know how I’ll handle it if they do say anything to her, because with me it’s different, I don’t give a damn about what they think, but I have no clue how Kennedy would take it. Whenever she’s around me this new brotherly protectiveness just seems to come out uncontrollably even though I just met her. So I’m worried and kind of on edge about the whole introducing her to the fans thing. Because I know that the hate can get out of control fast and all those haters are relentless, they just want to see you break and fall apart so they can feel whole and seeing her fall apart would just tear me to shreds.

Apparently I must’ve gotten lost in my thoughts and worries because Dillon clapped his hands in front of my face looking concerned.

“Dude, you okay? You seem a little out of it.”

“I’m fine it’s just I can’t really explain it you know?”

“No I think it’s that you’re worried about your baby sister, how cute!” Dillon exclaims in a baby voice while pinching my cheeks.

“Fuck off Dill,” I laugh smacking his hands away from my face.

“Fine brother bear, let’s just get back to the game.”

Shaking my head at his weird new nickname for me, I grab the controller and unpause the game so we’re backing to street racing and forgetting about the real world for awhile.

Kennedy Caniff

The minute I woke up I checked my phone like I normally do and to my surprise I found a text from Taylor.

Bruh :

Is it cool with you if we do a YouNow to introduce you to the fans or nah?

I reply with a quick “sure it’s fine” before I get up to get ready for the day. Tiredly I pull on an oversized tribal print tank and studded cutoffs before brushing my naturally straight dark brown, honey colored hair into a messy fishtail. Walking into the bathroom I brush my teeth and put on a little mascara and eyeliner.

When I get downstairs Tyler is still sleeping so I decide to make breakfast for us since it’s going to be a long day. Pulling out what I call my Baking Bible, I open it to the Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Muffin recipe and begin to mix the ingredients together. Just as I’m about to put them in the oven Tyler runs down the stairs breathing heavily.

“You didn’t wash the mixing spoon did you?” He asks sounding like a little kid asking for candy.

Laughing I reply, “No it’s still in the bowl so you can calm down.”

Smiling he takes the spoon and the bowl and starts licking them clean while mumbling a quick thanks before he retreats to the living room.

Shaking my head and setting the timer, I make sure to clean and pack everything that’s out it the kitchen, so it’s ready when the movers get here. I finish taping up the boxes just as the timer goes off and I quickly pull the muffins out so I can finish packing my room too.

When I get upstairs, all that’s really left to do is pack up my bed set and my make-up and the other stuff I use daily. After packing all of that into a box, I sit down on my bed and let myself think for the first time today.

I’m kind of nervous about moving in with my mom and Taylor because, yeah everything went great yesterday, but how will it go when we’re all living together in the same house all the time? What if we fight constantly and my mom doesn’t want me anymore, just like my dad? With my dad, one day he loved me and we were happily living with his girlfriend and then when they decide to get married he suddenly doesn’t want me around anymore. I felt like I did something wrong, that I made him not want me anymore, like I screwed up and caused him to abandon me. So I have a good reason to worry, but then again I am over thinking things like I always do.

I’m pulled out of my thoughts when Tyler knocks on the door before pushing it open and telling me that the movers are here to pick up all the boxes to take it to the new house.

Putting a smile on my face, I grab my stuff and head downstairs to help haul out all the boxes.
