Clary's P.O.V
"Oh, I dare say you are blushing, darling Joshua." George said in a mock tone of a pompous, air-headed idiot... like Eliza.
"He's got the accent right," Skylar grinned and elbowed Josh, who flushed with colour again.
"You know, let's pick on someone else now. I've had my time," Josh was saying as my phone sang out it's usual, boring ringtone.
"Crap." I said as I didn't get my phone out of my pocket in time. It was Justin. I excused myself and called him back.
"Hello," his familiar, beautiful voice sounded from the phone.
"Hey Justin, how are you?"
"I'm missing you baby. I haven't seen you in days." I could hear the whine in his voice.
"I'm missing you too, but you know why I have to be here."
"Yeah - you've got to be with George." I did not like his tone.
"That's exactly what it is."
"I'm just feeling kind of left out, Clar-bear."
"It's only been two days."
"Two days without seeing your beautiful face." Blood flooded to my cheeks. "You're blushing," he commented and I immediately looked up to see if he was inside the coffee shop. Which he wasn't.
"Shut up Justin," I giggled. "How about we do something tonight?"
"Sounds great. I'll pick you up.... where?"
"I'll text you it."
"And then we'll go and see what London has to offer," I could hear him smiling down the floor, and a smile crept on my mouth.
"Sounds great. Love you, see you tonight."
After I'd hung up, I rejoined George, Josh and Skylar. To my surprise, George was staring almost sulkily into the distance while the other two were whispering intently.
"You okay?" I asked him, elbowing him in the gut.
"I'm just great, Clary. Just great." He was smiling, but he sounded sarcastic.
A couple hours later....
"So, how do I look?"
I was sporting this tropical dress, with my hair down. I'd dressed up to 1. please Justin, who likes me to look nice, and 2. to impress George. I'll admit it - I wanted to see his eyes pop when I walked into view.
But he didn't. He just glanced at me, then looked away at the CD he was holding.
"You look nice. You always do." He merely said.
Okay, me and George has drunk a little bit of coke and vodka before this with Josh and Skylar, so I was a little bit... silly.
So I saunted up to him and leaned on him.
"How nice?" A part of me wanted to kick myself for being so... that. But the vodka was talking. Okay, the alcohol was about 70% of the problem.
"Clary?" George asked and gently pushed me away, but wound his arm over my shoulders. "Are you okay?"
Reality shook as someon knocked on the door.
"Yes. Sorry. I wasn't thinking clearly. Blame the drink you made me have," I teased, smiling as I went to open the door.
My boyfriend had arrived.
He was... gorgeous. No denying it.
"Hey baby," he murmured and pulled me to him and planted a kiss on my lips. Before it could become too heated, I pulled away.
"Justin, this is George. George - Justin." I said, motioning to both.
A certain frost settled over the apartment.
"Nice to meet you," George said kindly.
"Ditto." Justin replied lazily and took my hand. Quit being rude I mouth at him, but he just looked at me blankly.
"Oh well, see you later George." Justin said as he pulled me out of the door.
"Bye George!"
I didn't hear him say goodbye back.
George's P.O.V
Once the door closed, I began the task at slowing down my heart.
Clary was... stunning. Makeup looking natural, like she'd just stepped off a beach photoshoot. And I could see cleavage... Clary had never shown me cleavage.
I shook my head, a smile bubbling on my lips unconsciencly.
But that Justin guy is kind of a prick. Even though Clary didn't pick it up, bless her, Justin emitted a kind of... possession over Clary which was unsettling. Like I couldn't even look at her without his permission.
Guys probs.
But then again, if I actually tried to 'steal' Clary away from him, we'd both have our own advantages, right? So what if he's been dating her for a couple of years. I've been her best friend for years, sharing countless of amazing moments which he couldn't compete with.
I love Clary Davies.
