I start each day by getting up and making my bed, the birch like hardwood floor beneath me chilling my bare feet. After the bed is made I make my way over to the bathroom and undo the braid in my hair, brushing it out. A simple follow-up of brushing my teeth continues the routine. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I take a shower after that. Today is a Sunday. Subsequently, I leave the bathroom and make myself some breakfast, this usually consists of cereal, sausage, and eggs, or a fruit parfait.

"Maybe a parfait today?" I ask myself aloud, grabbing a parfait glass, some fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

Whilst I eat I listen to some music. This can consist of anything from "Sweet but Psycho" by Ava Max to my favorite classical piece, Clair De Lune, by Claude Debussy. It is only now, after I have done everything else, that I change into the clothes that I am to wear for that day. I have this thing where I prefer to be as comfortable as possible in any circumstance whilst still being dressed properly. At this time in the summer, when I am alone at home, wearing nothing but my underwear is my most comfortable. Especially when it is as warm as it is as of late. After I'm dressed I make my way out to my beautiful Baby, homemade jean purse in hand. Hearing her engine spin on, the sound only a '67 Chevy Impala could make gets me ready for anything. Proof that hard work can pay off.

Rolling the window down I start my drive to the Station, I'm a former Baltimore Police Department (BPD) Detective and have just started my new job in the FBI. The drive takes about an hour and a half to get there and I must arrive by 8:00 a.m. sharp. This, of course, means that everything I do each morning must start at 5:00 a.m.

As I pull into the parking lot of my new job I let out a heavy sigh. Day two, (Y/N), let's go! I think to myself, attempting to give myself a little pep talk as I turn off the engine and leave and lock my car. The sound of the soles of my sneakers hitting the pavement beneath me echoed inside my ears with every step I took. "(Y/N)? (Y/N) (L/N)?" the silence around me shatters as an excited voice breaks through me. I stop at the mention of my name and turn around in shock at the familiar voice."It is you!"

"Will Graham? I haven't seen you in ages! I thought you were teaching now? What are you doing back?" I asked him excitedly, my voice pitch raised ever so slightly. Will used to joke about how I was the only person that he could look into their eyes without being distracted. He's always been nice to me, used to be my best friend. Me having to move away from Wolf Trap for work sucked as we lost all connection to each other. "How are the dogs?" There are so many questions just racing through my head as we hug each other tightly in our embraces. "They're doing great," Will starts as he chuckles slightly, allowing for his charmingly handsome smile to show through.

"Sometimes I think you care more about them than me!" I chuckle a bit myself at his response. "Oh shush, you know I love you!" His smile immediately makes me feel so much better as we start our walk towards the front doors together. "Yeah, yeah, I love ya too." I and Will have known each other for so long our memories are fogged as to exactly when it was that we met. "And just in case you're wondering, I've gotten a new one, his name is Winston. He's a golden retriever." My face lit up happily. "Really?! Aww!" He must have known that would make me happier. He can always tell when I'm feeling anxious or upset, it's nice.

Making our way through the doors we're immediately met with my new boss's face. "Detective (L/N), Will, you two look lively." He states, making me wonder why he called Will by his first name and not his title. Are they friends too? I questioned myself as I followed them to his office as per told. "You two know each other?" He starts, I'm sure he has questions. "We do. (Y/N) moved away from Wolf Trap a good five years ago, I haven't seen her since. It's nice seeing her again. Didn't expect it." I smile happily at Will's response. "It's a very pleasant surprise!" I add, lightly bumping into Will's arm. "You should tell me about it sometime, looks like you guys have quite the story." Will and I share glances before looking back to him and nodding, Will voicing our thoughts. "Sure."
