A/n: This was a suggestion from Mango1839 just kinda winged it with this one lol, hope it matches what you were asking for!
Louis: hey ava, you still up for hanging out after school today?
Ava: yeye, r u bringing soph as well?
Louis: duh
Ava: tight tight
Louis: i'll meet you at the front after class ends!
Ava: u got it homie :pMy name is Ava, and I'm in love with my best friends girlfriend. I'm sure from that first sentence you don't have the best opinion on me right now, but it's understandable. My best friend Louis and I have been close since both of us were in kindergarten, and, of course, because our parents thought we were into each other, they tried their damndest to keep us in touch. When I was 14 I came out to him as a lesbian and he gladly accepted me and told me he would support me anyway he could.
When our parents thought we were out on 'dates', he was taking me to pride events. Whenever we needed money to 'buy the other a gift', we were donating it to LGBTQ+ support/youth centres. He was really just the most supportive friend I could ever have and I'm forever thankful that I was able to have someone like that in my life, as I know many people aren't so lucky.
By the time we were 16, he had been telling me about this girl from his geometry class and how happy she made him just from being together. I told him he should shoot his shot, and he did.
Her name is Sophie, and he really wasn't kidding when he talked about how happy she could make him. I really regret the way I introduced myself. She smiled at me and put her hand out to shake. "You must be Ava! I'm Sophie, it's nice to meet you!"
She was just beaming with joy and sunshine, she was also probably one of the cutest girls i'd ever met. So, of course, in a spur of gay fear I highfived her hand and went "ayyyy" as I threw up some double finger guns. She looked confused at first, but she laughed it off. I'd be lying if her laugh didn't send me to heaven and back.
But, there's the problem. I love Louis, and I'd never want to hurt him, so of course I could never tell him any of this. Knowing him he'd probably ask her if she felt anything towards me and surrender all his feelings for her if i'd ever said anything at all. Think of it like... I'm Angelica Schuyler, Louis is Eliza and Sophie is Alexander Hamilton. If you don't get that- don't worry, I haven't seen Hamilton either.
What's worse is me and Sophie have grown close as well, not in an awkward "your my best friends girlfriend" kind of way, but in a genuine friendly way. Through that, I discovered she was bisexual. Which obviously, only made this whole situation worse. I am used to falling for straight women, being rejected or being told she's fully straight then moving on, but she's not fully straight. This makes me think I have a chance, if i'm not careful it'll lead me to making stupid decisions blah blah blah.
I also learnt that, well, her and Louis are both very sweet people inside and out so they don't usually fight often, but they do still get upset with each other. Every couple of months Louis will come to me and tell me how he didn't know what he was getting into when he was getting into a relationship, then Sophia will text me saying she think she's upset him and she's not sure what to do. It's hard because, they're both very emotional people, so the story I get is often very skewed.
When they aren't like that though, they're so happy together. You can tell that they're exactly like those typical couples who cuddle in the hallway before class each day. It kinda gross, but I think it's cute a little bit as well? As much as it hurts seeing Sophia with someone else, I know how happy she makes him, I don't have a right to complain.
Louis: just us tonight, soph bailed
Ava: o rlly??? lame
Ava: i guess u'll do for now
Louis: shut up you love me
Ava: well now this is just slander
