He followed me home, Can i keep him?

chapter 6

This is going to be super short and brief.  Thank you for everything! I got lazy and didn't go for the promised jog!  I wanted to keep working on this :P  overacchhiieevveerrrrr!!!!  And I decided to screw the test I was bound to fail it anyways! Geography.... Yucky... Haha I'll tell you what I get on it if you want me too!

Oh and I just want to point out that this isn't just about a sexy hobo ( which I wish there were more of!!! XP)  it's also going to be about her relationship with her parents!!  And ya idk anymore I didn't rely plan this out that well.  I'm just kind of making this up as I go along... ssooo ya... so much for brief...

ANNA'S POV

          Arthur parked the car in the school lot.  I heard countless giggles and "Who is that?"s when Luke got out.  Ignoring them, I started to walk away when my father's voice stopped me.

          "Where do you think you're going?"

          "Away from here."

          "No. You're not."  I sighed, annoyed.

          "And why is that?"

          "I need you to show Luke around.  So you are going to come with us to the office."

          "Get someone else."  I turned back around.

          "I don't trust anyone else."  My eyes widened from shock.  Did he just say he trusted me?  I didn't know what to say to that.  I've never heard anything so nice directed at me from Arthur.

          "Um... fine..."  I muttered as I shuffled behind them to the office.  Did I just see a smile on Luke's face? 

          The trek to the office seemed like it took forever.  Luke got stares everywhere.  I watched as the girls swooned and the guys move closer to their girlfriends.  PUH-LEASE!!! They're acting like he's some celebrity. Luke looked at a group of freshies and gave them a dazzling smile.  They all squealed and giggled with excitement.  I rolled my eyes. 

            At the office they gave him a schedule and took him to another room to get his ID card picture taken.  When he came back my father and I were sitting in silence. 

          Arthur was the first to get up.  "Well, I should get going.  I'll pick you up at four?" 

          I said nothing.  Luke nodded, "That sounds good.  Thank you, Arthur."

Arthur patted him on the shoulder.  There was that smile again.  "It's no problem, son." He looked at me.  "Goodbye, Annabeth" I did nothing.  He sighed once again.  Without any other words he walked down the hallway and back to his car.

          I grab the schedule out of Luke's hands.  Let's see:  Marine biology, Geometry, Phys. Ed., Art,  English,  and Spanish.  They were all pretty easy classes.  Just a little below average for a junior.  I hope he could keep up.  He might have a little trouble with Spanish or Geometry but whatever.  Marine biology is pretty fun.  Mr.Addler is such an airhead but he's really funny and nice.
