UNDER THE UMBRELLA [Completed]

⭐ CHAPTER 26 ⭐

-MR YOUNGJAE'S MANSION-

Mr. Youngjae and Mr. Jin having coffee and business talked in the study room.

"I think I want to pass the company in Japan to Jimin." Mr. Jin tells his son.

"Yeah. Sure. He deserves the company. After all, his late father was the one who starts the company." Mr. Youngjae sincerely said.

"So you don't mind?"

"Yes, dad. I don't mind. Even though Park is just my brother-in-law, but he really manages our family business so well and he contributed a lot to make our business expands and successful. So yeah, his son deserves to continue his legacy. Plus I think Jimin doing great too. He is hardworking likes his father."

"Yeobo! What about Jiyoung then?" Suddenly Mrs. Jisoo appears in the study room with a tea.  She puts the tray in her hands on the table. "You guys never give anything to him. You make him feel like he left behind! All the time he is here, without a fail, he manages the business. But in the end, you give all the biggest company to Jimin who was disappeared for four years?"

"Yeobo, please don't intervene with a business affair." Mr. Youngjae said.

"How could I not intervene yeobo! You are always unfair to Jiyoung. He is your son but you always put the priority to Jimin. You too dad! Although you tried not to show favoritism, it show clearly dad, you have a soft spot for Jimin."

"Yeobo, please stop!"

Mrs. Jisoo doesn't care his husband warns. "Even since they are kids you always give what is best for Jimin. But Jiyoung? What is his sin to deserve bad treatment from his own father and grandfather?"

"Because Jiyoung is not my real son!" Mr. Youngjae shouts a sudden disclosure.

Mrs. Jisoo eyes are wide open. "Y-yebo? W-what do you mean?"

"Youngjae, you don't have to do this." Mr. Jin said. He doesn't want the secret they keep for more than 20 years burst out now. 

"We know it Jisoo. We know Jiyoung is not my son. Not even a bit Kim's family blood is flowing in his blood." Mr. Youngjae tearing up. He found out everything when Jiyoung fall sick when he was 5 years old. Luckily, his father was there to support and advice him. "You cheated on me with another man and have Jiyoung! My heart brokes when I found out he is not my real son. I feel so disappointed. I do love him, Jisoo.  I took care of him till he grows up. I do realize I being unfair to him sometimes. But it's hurt my feeling by the fact his existence is evidence you cheated on me!"

"O-omma~ Is that true?" Without notice, Jiyoung appears at the door. His body shivering. He heard everything.

"Ji-Jiyoung. Don't hear what your father said." Mrs. Jisoo runs toward Jiyoung.

Jiyoung wards off. "Be honest to me, omma. Is that true?!" Jiyoung shouts. His face getting red. He feels likes something stabs him straight into his heart.

"Jiyoung. You always are my grandson." Mr. Jin calming him down.

Jiyoung shakes his head. He cries. This is so sudden for him. He realizes how unfair his father and grandfather treat him compare to Jimin. But he thought it was because of Jimin smarter and doing better than him. Never in his thought, all of it because he is not his father real son.  With a resentful feeling, he left the room and run away.

"Jiyoung!" Mrs. Jisoo tries to chase him.

Jiyoung gets into his car
He presses the pedal as hard as he can. He left his family mansion with tears in his eyes. He came to visit his parents but it turns out he has to hear a dark secret of his real identity.

-LE CHAMBER BAR-

Mina walks into the bar after she pays the taxi fare. She looks around to find someone. At the bar counter, she finds the person. She walks near him.

The person realizes she came. He smiles.

"You came?" Jiyoung said. Don't know how many alcohols he already consumes. But undoubtedly he already drinks too much.

"How could I not come?" Mina shows the call log on her phone. Jiyoung has 25 missed call and 20 incoming calls.

"I'm sorry. I just need someone to talk with." Jiyoung said. He takes the glass in front of him and drinks.

Mina holds the glass in Jiyoung hands and put it back on the table
"What wrong? You make me worried."

Jiyoung smiles. "You still worried about me?"

"I know you, oppa. Something must really bother you to make you look miserable like this." Mina looks at Jiyoung worriedly.

Jiyoung inhales his breath deeply. He looks at her dolefully. "I'm not my father real son, Mina." Just by saying it, Jiyoung begins to tear up. The truth is so hurt.  "I overheard my father said it." He looks away to hide his tears. He rubs his face. He then pours drinks in his glass again and takes a shot.

Mina surprised by what just she heard. But it's not time to act surprised now. She sighs. She can see and feels his sadness and disappointment. All this time she knows how much Jiyoung worked hard so he can impress his father. She takes a seat beside him. She pours drinks into an empty glass and takes a shot too.

"If I run away like Jimin, do you think they will try to find me?" Jiyoung said sadly. 

"I'm sure they will, oppa. They love you. But please don't do it." 

"My heart feels so hurts, Mina." Jiyoung burst out into tears.

Mina rubs Jiyoung back. She sad to see Jiyoung like this.
