Chapter One

I slammed my hands down on the table.

"We don't want to fight you! Why don't you get that?" I said trying to get my point across. Alex smiled, but not in a good way and said,

"We don't want to put up with your kind anymore; we don't want to be the underdogs, the ones they forget about." I looked up at him not sure what to say,

"Our kind? OUR KIND? We are the same Alex! Please, we want this to be as peaceful as possible but we will fight if it comes to that.” I said standing my ground. He just laughed,

“Don’t you mean when that time comes?” Kelsey almost jumped across the table at him; I and Kaitlynn had to hold her back.

“Not now, this is not the place to fight. This is for discussing only.” I whispered in her ear, Kaitlynn nodded. Alex just laughed at her attempt.

“I think that we should leave now, or at least I and Kelsey should.” I said looking Alex his deep brown eyes.

“Fine! Leave, it doesn’t matter if you’re here or not.” He said looking back into my light honey brown eyes.

“Well if you guys are going, so am I!” Kaitlynn said.

“Yeah, I better get going to…….” Rachel agreed. Taylor just nodded shyly.

“Well then, I suppose this meeting is over. Maybe next we can resolve this, but for now there will be no fighting on either side. Agreed?” I said and looked at him in the most awful way possible.

“Agreed.” Alex and the four other men there said together. He smiled at us with his evil grin on the way out and gave a wave goodbye. Kelsey flipped him off and I just glared.

On our way out us all looked at each other. Kelsey was steaming.

“Can you believe we were friends with that once?”

“Yeah, we should have known, should have taken more precautions. When I had that dream, we should have known.” I said and looked down in shame trying to hide my face with my light brown hair.

“Lyv you couldn’t have known that this would happen.” Kaitlynn said putting her hand on my shoulder.

“But, well it was something big and my dreams have come true before, and... and …and….” I stammered and looked at her and her sweet childish smile.

“And, sometimes dreams are just dreams.” Kelsey said to reassure me and also put her arm around me. I smiled up at her,

“You are so nice, but still I feel it’s my fault.” I said.

“I know… it’s hard to change your mind, Lyv.” Kelsey said. We walked down the dark and secluded hall way and into the bright fresh autumn outside. We hopped into our cars, Kelsey, Kaitlynn and me all in one car which was an old Ford truck. Taylor went off in her small red car and Rachel went in a newer white car.

I drove the way home, since Kelsey was afraid to drive and Kaitlynn was so dingy she would have a hard time watching the road. I had a lot of thoughts going in my head at the time, I didn’t notice Kaitlynn said anything until she repeated it and tapped me on the shoulder startling me a little.

“Huh?” I said still a little spacey.

“I said, we should probably hold another meeting tonight, to let the other witches know. Right?” Kaitlynn said, being all squirrel like. Kelsey nodded,

“I think that would be best, Lyv what’s your take?”

“Yeah, if that’s what you guys think would help. We should ask Taylor and Rachel if they want to come.” I said not really there with them yet, still a little into my thoughts.
