"Bye then." I sigh sarcastically as my father left for the pub. He had actually been home for a while which was unusual for him, he was normal practically always out of the house.
This was my chance, I pulled my suitcase out from under my bed, Firstly I placed in a couple of books and movies that were my absolute favourites. I then carefully placed in a few other things from around the room making sure to wrap them in clothes so that they didn't break on the journey. Then I filled the rest of space with clothes, It didn't take me long to decide on what to take since half of my clothes didn't fit. I went to the bathroom picked a few essential toiletries and packed them as well before zipping up the suitcase.
I then moved onto packing my school bag which I had emptied of everything relating to school, well apart from my planner but only because that had lots of messages from my best friend that she had written throughout the year so far. I packed a few jumpers to keep me warm, a notebook, my phone charger and my money tin. I took everything downstairs and filled my bag with food that I had rummaged for in the kitchen.
I Pulled my shoes and coat on and then placed the bag on my back, suitcase in hand and left the house. I guess you are probably wondering where I am going? Well I am leaving my home, I say home but it hasn't felt like that in years. I didn't really have a plan, I knew one place I wanted to visit and I knew of a cheap hostel that I could stay in but apart from that I had no plan, just a will to be away from where I was.
I walked down to the bus stop and got the bus into town and then another bus out of town, no more than 20 minutes later I arrive at where I had wanted to go but with it being darker than expected I couldn't go where I had wanted to go. I decided to find somewhere local to stay and then continue my plan in the morning. The only problem was this was a small dark village that I did not know my way around.
I walked over to the only thing that looked open in the village which was called 'the woolpack' and seemed to be the local pub, I walked inside only to see the place deserted. Unusual for a bar at only 9 at night.
"Sorry, were closing up. Landladies had a bit of an emergency." A young women tells me.
"Oh right sorry, I was just going to ask about a local place to stay." I replied.
"There is a B&B just around the corner, if you hold on 5 minutes I can show you were it is." She tells me.
I waited round the front side of the bar whilst the woman tided up and locked up the pub, we then started walking up the road back towards the bus stop.
"Where are your parents then? If you don't mind me asking. You just don't seem old enough to be out here on your own." She asked me as we entered 'The Grange' which was a B&B.
"Mum dropped me off, I just couldn't find the B&B. I'm meeting dad in the morning." I lied.
"Right, well I have booked you in for one night. Is that all you need?" She asks.
"Yes"
She adds the booking and tells me how much I need to pay, I go rooting around in my bag to find my money and then when I do get It out I don't have anywhere close to the amount I need. I swear dad has taken some of my money and honestly it wouldn't surprise me.
"Can I pay the rest in the morning. I had to get more buses than I anticipated and so I probably haven't got enough but I can get some out in the morning." I ask putting £20 down on the counter.
"Sure, let me show you to your room." She says taking the money and leading me up the stair case to room number 5 which was going to be mine for the night.
"Check out's at 11 but there is no one in this room for a couple of days so Finn will give you a little bit of leeway." She tells me, going to leave.
"Thank you"
I took my stuff inside the room and closed the door behind me and flop down on the bed in front of me. It had been a long night and for now I just needed to go to sleep.
