Chapter 13

Paige POV

Sammy and I ran into the hospital drenched in tears. I love Jack. I need him in my life.

Sammy walked up to the desk while i was pacing around the waiting room. "I'm here for J-Jack Gilinsky." he said sniffling.

"Jack is in tests right now, please sit down and we will inform you shortly." the lady at the desk said.

Sammy just walked away silent. He sat down next to me. I hugged him tightly letting everything out. "Will Jack be okay?" I said softly. "He'll be fine baby." Sammy said rubbing my back.

"Promise?"

"Promise." he said looking in my eyes.

Sammy POV

I feel horrible for Paige. I know she loves Jack.

I slowly started to fall asleep until a nurse interrupted.

"Anyone here for a Jack Gilinsky?"

Paige and I stood up almost instantly. We walked over to her afraid.

"Please come with me." she said.

The nurse brought us down a hallway in front of Jack's room. I reached for the handle but the nurse stopped me. I looked at her confused. "I'm sorry but I can't let you in there."

"How is Jack? Is he okay?" I kept asking.
"Jack is fine, just a couple bruises on his forehead and a black eye, but nothing serious." the nurse said looking at her clipboard.

I felt a sense of relief after that. "When can we see him?" asked Paige.

"Very soon, but you may go sit down in the waiting room." she said pointing down the hall.

Paige and I walked to the hall with my arm around her shoulder. We sat down and she looked at me. "Thank you for promising me he would be okay"
"I'd never lie to you." I said kissing her cheek

I took out my phone and started texting the boys. They didn't really know about Jack but I figured I should let them know. Matt was in some weird room signing papers about Jack for about 3 hours.

Paige fell asleep on my shoulder because it was already 4:00. I stood up slowly and started walking towards Jack's room. I had to check on him to see if he was awake. This time a different nurse was standing there.

"Do you need help with something?" she asked.
"Oh i was wondering if it's okay if I could see Jack Gilinsky?"
She looked at some papers and said "Jack woke up about 15 minutes ago, you may go in."

I've never been so excited in my life. I ran down the hall and woke up Paige.
"Wake up, come on."
"What?" she said with sleep marks on her face.
"Jack is awake we can go see him." I said probably screaming my head off. Paige stood up and ran straight to his room and I followed.
