Chapter 20

Chris POV
We got to the hospital and my leg was already throbbing.

I put my hand around Paige's neck and limped into the hospital. A nurse came over with a wheel chair and help me sit in it.

"What happened?" The nurse asked.

"I fell down a flight of stairs." I added

"Okay, well lets go get some X-rays." she said wheeling me down a hallway.

"Can I go with him?" Paige asked the nurse.

"I'm sorry, we won't be that long." The nurse said to Paige.

I really wish Paige could be in there with me. She helped me get here and actually made me feel better.

We went into a room and two nurses helped me sit down.

"I know you, my daughter loves your videos." the one nurse said

"Maybe she can come say hi." I said laughing.

They both left and I was all alone for about ten minutes. A doctor came in and started to look at my leg.

"It looks like a torn hamstring. You will need a cast." the doctor said.

I nodded and looked at it.

"You will have to rest it for 3 days." He said reading from a clipboard.

"But I have somewhere important to be tomorrow." I said

"I'm sorry but you may have to miss it." He said walking out the room.

I can't miss Magcon. My fans paid so much money to see me there. I can't just not show up.

Paige came in and sat next to me.

"How you doing?" She asked

"Fine. Its just a torn hamstring. But he said that I have to miss Magcon tomorrow." I said

"I'm so sorry." She said hugging me.

It was quiet for a minute.

"You're a great friend." I said hugging back.

"You're a better one." She said still hugging me.

"After this lets go to my hotel room. I wanna know more about you." I said letting go.

She nodded and just then the doctor came in with the cast stuff.

He wrapped my leg with a blue cast and gave me crutches.

"You can leave now, but you must sign some papers" he said handing me a clipboard.

I signed them and gave them back to him.

"Thanks." I said to him.

He nodded and walked out of the room.

"Lets leave" I said trying to stand up.

"Woah slow down." Paige said running over to me.

"I'm fine." I said opening the door.

We went outside and got into the car. We started driving back in silence because my leg was really hurting.

"Almost there, I promise." Paige said putting her hand on mine.
She must have known that I was in a lot of pain.

After about 15 minutes later we got to the hotel and went to my room.

"I'm gonna rest, but I wanna get to know you better. Come to my room at 5:00?" I said walking into my room.

"Sure" she said hugging me.

Paige POV

I felt so bad for Chris. He has to miss Magcon, which would let his fans down. He is my friend and he means a lot to me. I felt like he was there for me more than Jack was.

I walked down to Jack's room and opened the door.

"Where have you been?" Jack asked pacing.

"Chris tore his hamstring so I took him to a hospital." I said throwing my bag on the floor.

"What? Is he ok?" Jack asked.

"Yeah he just needs to rest. But he has to miss Magcon tomorrow." I said lying down.

"Thats horrible" he said sitting next to me.

"Come out to dinner with me at 6:00. I really miss you." he said

I want to hang out with Jack, but I can't just blow off Chris

"Sorry I can't. I kind of have plans." I said holding his hand.

"Can't you cancel?" Jack asked looking sad

"I'm sorry babe. I promised Chris." I said

"All you talk about is Chris." Jack said letting go of my hand.

"He's my friend." I said to him.

"Well I'm your boyfriend." He said yelling.

I stood up quickly and went to the elevator. I reached my floor and walked in the door. Taylor decided to switch rooms with Matt. So I stayed with Matt and Carter now. Carter was in there on his computer.

"Hey are you okay?" Carter asked turning his computer off.

"Jack and I had a fight." I said looking at the floor.

"He'll get over it." He said rubbing my arm.

There was a complete silence for a moment.

"I don't think I love him anymore." I said looking at Carter.
He took his hand off me and sat me on the bed.

"It seems like you love someone else." He said.

I instantly thought of Chris. He is so sweet and a great person. But he is also my best friend.

"Thanks." I said walking out of the room.

I ran down the hallway and up the stairs to Chris' room. I knocked and heard someone unlock it.

"Hey is it 5:00 already?" Chris said looking at his phone.

"No sorry its only 3:30, but I wanted to talk to you now" I said.

"Come in." He said opening the door more.

No one was in there except him.

"Whats up?" he said sitting down slowly.

"Jack and I had a fight." I said sitting next to him.

"What about?" He asked

I sat there for a second and thought about it.

"You" I said quietly. "He said that you are all I talk about."

"Really?" He said laughing.

I nodded and looked away from him.

"Cause you're all I talk about too."

I quickly looked up at him and smiled.
He put his hands on my cheeks and pulled me closer.
He kissed me softly and then my neck.

"Thank you for being there." I said

"Always" he let go and hugged me tight.
