ENDGAME SPOILERS JUST WARNING YOU NOW.

Endgame premiered a week ago, and for Tom Holland, that meant a two-weeks break. That's it. After that he'd be on tour for what he thought was forever, going with Jake Gyllenhaal to many places and doing so many interviews. And his new girlfriend, Y/N, has just gone out with her best friend for the evening. She didn't know where she was going, just that her best friend had a surprise for her.

So Tom waited patiently back at home with Tessa, doing the least he could. Y/N had told him to at least try getting off the couch, but since she wasn't home, he didn't care.

"What the absolute fuck?!"

Tom jumped, the cry startling him out of his shallow nap. Tessa jumped up as well, running with little clicks of her claws into the entry way, where a very distraught looking girlfriend stood.

"What in the absolute hell where you thinking!?" She snapped.

He jumped up, feeling a little disoriented. Where was he? What planet was he on? Why was she yelling? "Honey...what-what did I do now?"

She wiped under her eyes where mascara had smeared. She'd been crying, a lot. Tom's stomach dropped, and he immediately began worrying. "Are you okay darling?"

"No! No I am not! Want to know why?"

Against his better judgement, Tom nodded.

"Because Marvel is so mean!" She covered her eyes, a shuddering gasp escaping her open mouth. "I hate the Russo brothers!"

Tom took a deep breath and released it, relieved it wasn't something bad. Well, he thought, Endgame was bad. But it wasn't something relationship threatening. "Oh baby," he said to her, tilting his head to the side with a small pout.

She uncovered her eyes, shaking. "It was so good but...oh god! That scene!"

Tom walked toward her carefully, almost as if she'd explode. "Honey I'm so sorry. I wish I could've gone with you to see it."

She took a shaky breath, staring up at him. She actually had tears streaming down her face. "I can't believe Tony Stark is dead. I grew up with him. That's eleven years of my life just..." She snapped her fingers, letting out a choked sound. "He's gone. And then you!" She pointed at him, frowning. "You were crying and apologizing and you said 'Tony'! You always called him Mr. Stark but here he is dying and you say his first name. That's heartbreaking." She covered her eyes again, crying.

Tom sighed, feeling a bit sorry. So he reached out and pulled her to him, her face hidden as she cried. He knew it was hard to see your hero die like that. She genuinely loved Iron Man, and she met RDJ once with Tom and they had gotten along so well, making Iron Man yet more important to her. "I'm so sorry baby girl," he said, petting her hair. She just wrapped her arms around his torso tightly and didn't reply. "I wish it hadn't happened, too."

She nodded, her face rubbing agaisnt his shirt. "Tony won't come back," she said in a muffled voice, hidden by his chest, "not like you did." She gasped, pulling her face up to look at him with a smile. "Peter came back and you should've heard the theater gasp and clap for you!"

Tom felt himself smiling, his heart feeling warmer. He did like when the theater reacted that way to him.

Y/N's face fell again.  "But Tony won't come back. And they killed Tasha!" She hid her face again while her shoulders shook lightly.

Tom made a face. Her and crying was his least favorite combination. She made him sad when she cried. Naturally, that's good because making people feel her feelings was her job as an actress. But these tears were real hurt. "I'm sorry."

"It wasn't your fault," she mumbled.

"That doesn't stop me from feeling bad," Tom said in a whisper, kissing her head. She hugged him tighter. "I'll take you to set with me tomorrow, you can see Tony and Tasha. Uh, I mean Robert and Scarlett."

She looked up at him with a shocked expression. "Really?"

Tom nodded at her. "Yes, yes really."

She made a strangled sound, probably excitement, and buried her face into his chest. He just laughed, unsure what that meant. But since she hugged him even tighter he figured it was good.

"You're making it hard to breathe, Angel." He put his hands under her arms and lifted her up. Her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist as her arms went around his neck. He hugged her lower back, looking up at her. "Better?"

She nodded. "Can we watch Iron Man?"

Tom frowned. "You sure you're ready for that?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. I just want to be ready for tomorrow. And I can't be crying when I see him next."

Tom laughed, shaking his head at her. Through her little tears, she was smiling. Tom's heart fluttered; she was so stunning. Even sad she was pretty as hell. "Can I have a kiss?"

She closed her mouth, but was still smiling. "Absolutely." And she leaned down, kissing him.

He could feel her smile, even as she tried to stop. He loved seeing her so happy, that girl. She was prettiest when she was happy.

And if forcing the one and only RDJ to spend time with her made her happy, he'd do anything to accomplish that.
