I leaned agains my locker the next morning, impatiently waiting for Peter. We'd gotten into an argument last night over text, and now I was nervous for him to show up.
"Well hello Berlin." MJ came up behind me, shaking her bangs out of her eyes and leaning on Peter's locker.
I went to respond when I saw Peter right behind her, so instead I glared over her shoulder.
"What's wrong with you two?" Her frown deepened when she noticed the look on my face and who I was giving it to.
I looked back at her. "Nothing, we just-"
"Had an argument," Peter finished for me. MJ jumped away from his locker as he tried to open it with her on it.
"Had an argument," I said in a mocking tone, standing back from the locker bank and checking MJ's expression.
Peter shoved his backpack into his locker and gave me a mean look.
MJ gave me a shocked look and turned around, grabbing Ned by the arm as he headed towards us and marched him away, whispering to him.
I turned to Peter and slammed his locker door, making him jump, and there was that deer-in-headlights look again. "What's your deal?"
"Nothing, London, it's just...you're an Avenger. I'm a vigilante." He shrugged.
I rose my eyebrows. "So you're jealous."
He shook his head, frowning. "No. And another thing. I hardly know you, and now I have to trust that you won't tell anyone I'm Spider-Man! I mean...I don't even know your favorite color."
I gaped at him. "It's black, you idiot! And how could I tell anyone when I'm a-" I dropped my tone to a whisper, "when I have a secret too? Mine is monumentally larger than yours!"
He shrugged, blinking frequently and not looking at me. "I'm just going to go to class." His tone had lost its edge, and his shoulders dropped, loosing the fight in him.
I straightened up, getting angrier. "That's a great idea Peter. Finally, you use your brain."
He flinched, and kept walking.
"Wanda!" I wailed when I got to the residential level of the Avengers Tower. Wanda popped her head out of her room, looking startled. "Wanda," I said, feeling a bit sick. "I screwed up."
She slid her whole body out of the doorway and opened her arms, walking towards me. "What do you mean, Princess?" The nickname had more Zs in it than Ss.
I closed my eyes with a pout. "I got into a fight with Peter." Her arms closed around me, and I let her hug me without pushing her away. Wanda was the only person I accepted hugs from.
Oh, and Peter now, apparently. But look how short-lived that was.
"What about, Angel?" She asked, her hands running through my hair as I wrapped my arms tightly around her.
I grumbled an answer. "He's a superhero, too."
Wanda pulled back, looking completely shocked. "When did you find out?"
I gave her a look. "Really? Really? You knew this whole time? How many of you knew!?" I shouted, so the whole level picked up my loud tone.
Wanda grabbed my shoulders. "Tony would never let you date a boy unless he knew everything about him, honey."
I groaned, annoyed, throwing my head back onto my shoulders.
"Why don't you go talk to him? After school, now that everyone has had a chance to cool off?" She run her hands up to cup my face, looking into my eyes. "Maybe fix things best you can?"
