Season 3 Episode 11

(Flashback January 1890 New Orleans)
I open my eyes and everything is blurry and my was head was throbbing for a couple of seconds before it went away.

"Happy birthday, love."

I quickly turned my head and see Klaus laying next to me. "Wh—What are you doing here? This is really creepy that your in my room..."

He moves his finger in a circle to tell me to look around and when I do, I realize I'm in his room. I looked under my sheets and I'm naked, "Did we..."

"No. You came over and had a few. Fell asleep and woke up saying it was hot and preceded to take all your clothes off."

I quickly got up from the bed wrapping the bed sheet around my body, "Forgive me for crashing your party but..." I stop mid-sentence as I realize something. "How did you know it was my birthday?"

"Rebekah told me."

"Of course she did." I said and I sounded annoyed more than I intended to.

"Angry, love?"

"No. I'm just... my head is hurting a bit."

"Don't like birthdays, I see."

"Not really. Do mind if I take a bath?" I ask and he gestures towards the bathroom.

I went into the bathroom and made sure the water is at its right temperature before letting go of the bed sheet as it slips off of my body. As soon as I sat in tub I close my eyes.

"Blood?"

I open my eyes and I see Klaus standing there with a glass of blood in his hands.

"Thank you." I smiled as I took it from his hands. "I'm sorry about last night. I usually don't crash parties..." I paused for a moment, "okay, maybe I do crash parties but I didn't mean to crash yours. This was the last place I wanted to be."

"Why is that?"

"I'm sure you saw how I was last night and it's not my best sight. At least I'm not a drunk who cries over everything."

"You're more of a crazy drunk." He says jokingly as I pushed him playfully and he laughs.

"You did make it a less of a bore." He smiles and says, "Well, then I'll leave you to your bath" and walks out of the bathroom.

After the events of last night, I needed to leave. I got out of the bathtub and wrapped a towel around my body. I walked into Klaus' room and there is a small square box that is laid on top of my dress. I open the box and it's the most prettiest set of jewelry. A necklace with earrings. There is a note that says from Klaus. I stared at it for a couple of seconds before closing it. After I changed I walked downstairs to leave.

"Leaving so soon, love?" Klaus says walking into the courtyard.

"Um, yeah..." I said thinking of an excuse. "I have a couple of things to get done by days end. Thank you for letting me stay and for the gift." I said and walked towards the exit.

"What are you doing later?" He asks and I turned around to look at him.

"Why...?" I asked a bit suspicious.

"For you're birthday."

"I don't celebrate my birthday."

"Why not?" He asks as he walks closer to me.
