Chapter one

My life turn upside down when we were coming home from my grandmothers house. We were going down the highway and then it happened . Out car flipped.

I helped my brother out of his seat and got out of my own seat then helped my parents out when I looked up and saw a gryphon. At first I about jumped out of my skin. A Greek monster. I looked for something to defend my family with and there was nothing. Then I thought what could ward them off. then I saw wood and something clicked. I took a piece and try thought about fire. Where could I find fire . Then it happened. My

hand was on fire so I lit the wood and though it at the gryphon and it disintegrated.
