"Y/n ever since I met you I have been so much happier than I have ever been. I have already lost you twice and those were the worst times of my life and I can't let it happen again." He began to say as he got down on one knee and pulled out a small box from his pocket. Is he proposing?  "No I am not proposing. I only say that because I know that is what's going through your head right now." He said chuckling which made me giggle. "Instead I'm giving you this. A promise ring. I promise that I will do everything I can to make you happy and keep you safe. I promise that one day I will switch this promise ring for a wedding ring. I promise to protect you at all costs. But most of all I promise to always love you with everything I am and keep you happy as long as we live." He said bringing tears to my eyes. "I love you Peter." "And I love you Y/n" He said standing up and sliding the ring onto my finger.

peter's POV

*one year later*

it's been a year now and y/n and i haven't been sent back to the real world. but hey i'm not complaining. i'd rather not see that tom guy for as long as i can. every night i have been having that same nightmare and i always end up breaking down into tears when i wake up. i don't even really use my room anymore i always sleep with y/n and she is always there to comfort me which i am very thankful for.

"peter it's getting late we should go to bed." y/n said as we sat on the edge of a roof in queens watching the stars. y/n has become my crime fighting partner. it been all over the news most of the titles are "has spider-man found his spidergirl" or "the crime fighting couple" we have stopped a lot of crime and i'm glad she gets to do it with me "yeah i guess you're right." i said grabbing her by her waist ready to shoot a web "you know i can swing home by myself right?" y/n said with a laugh "yeah i know but if you did that you wouldn't be in my arms so i'm going to swing home with you in my arms" i said looking at her "okay spider boy" "spider-man" i corrected her as we both laughed "yeah yeah whatever." she said and with that we were off.

*you guys are at stark tower now in y/n's bedroom*

"hey pete?" i heard y/n call from the bathroom where she was changing into her pajamas "hmm?" i hummed in response as i saw her walk out of the bathroom and over to me. "do you think you will be able to sleep tonight?" she asked as she wrapped her arms around my neck and i wrapped mine around her waist. "i don't know y/n. i hope so." i said resting my forehead on hers closing my eyes as she did the same. "me too." she said quietly.

y/n's POV

peter and i both laid down in bed he wrapped his arms around my waist and we both drifted off to sleep.

it felt like i had been sleeping for 20 minutes and then i woke up to peter moving around. nightmares. it's been like this for the past year. "peter." i whispered shaking him a little. usually that's all it takes to wake him up. usually. this time he didn't wake up. "peter." i tried again but still nothing which started to worry me. "peter!" i whisper yelled shaking him harder. nothing. "PETER!" i yelled shaking him a lot more. finally he sat up gasping for air and then broke down into tears. "c'mere" i said pulling him into a hug as he cried. "i'm so sorry y/n" he mumbled into my neck. "why are you apologizing?" i whispered calmly. "because for the past year i have been waking you up constantly because of these nightmares. i've always needed you to comfort me when i wake. i'm sorry." he whispered into my neck. "peter you don't need to apologize it's not your fault your having these nightmares." whispered back running my hands through his hair to calm him down. "thank you." he whispered once again "i love you" i said and then we both drifted off to sleep.

*the next day*

"peter let's go eat breakfast" i said running my hands through his hair like i always do to wake him up. i saw him smile a little and then say "5 more minutes" in his rough morning voice. it was hot like always. "how about i give you a kiss and you get up." i said smiling at how cute he looked "okay." he said happily with his eyes closed and a smile strapped on his face. i leaned in and kissed him and he kissed back bringing his hands up to cup my cheeks as mine wrapped around his torso. "okay... let's go..." i said in between kisses and smiled against his lips. he stood up out of bed with only some grey sweatpants on and his messy morning hair. "your staring love." he said which snapped me out of my gaze. "sorry not sorry." i said with a smile on my face as i stood up. he chuckled as i did so and we both walked downstairs hand in hand like we do every morning

*2 hours later*

peter and i haven't been doing anything besides watch high school musical when suddenly our spider senses went off. peter and i both looked out my window and saw a flying donut? "what the hell" i whispered...
