III

I look up at the faces above me. There's Matthew and some other people I don't recognize.

"Are you alright?"

Wow. Matthew looks really worried. This must be really bad.

"I don't know. What happened?"

"You screamed so I ran in and you were lying on the floor with that ugly scar."

"Oh. I remember that! Wait who are they?" I gestured to the unknown woman and man.

"Oh, this is Seamus and Daniella."

We exchange a series of awkward hellos.

"I don't mean to be rude but, how do you know these people? What are they doing here?"

Daniella steps forward.

"Matt contacted us when you told him about the following. We had just arrived when you screamed. We are the managers that will take you and Matt to the Underquak."

I look at them and slowly back away. Matthew gives them a look that tells them to go away.

"You need to get dressed, Rosilynn I never meant for this to happen. I truly am sorry."

He leaves and I set about getting ready. I put in a peacock blue dress with a white lace collar and sleeves.

Then I pull on some shoes, my white lace trimmed boots. I pin my hair into a bun with ringlets. I put in my jeweled peacock comb. Then I slip on my engagement ring. I know it's a bit much but these people had seen me in my nightdress.

I walk out and I smile as I see both Matthew and Seamus's jaw drop. Matthew rushes over.

"You look... amazing."

"Thank you."

I look at Daniella and my jaw drops. She is wearing a loose shirt tucked into her pants and is wearing boots. I could have mistaken her for a man.

Seamus walked over.

"Excuse me but we need to go. What should I call you?"

"Rosi."

Matthew looks hurt that this man I hardly know can use my nickname but he can't. I give him a but you're the only one who calls me by my real name. Besides, Matthew really is the only one who calls me Rosilynn.

"We need to go. Come on ... Rosi."
