Do You Mean It?

Part 2: Feels Like Home

  We walked up to the door and Jake made me go in front of him. I opened the door to something I didn't fully expect...

"Surprise!"

 The roommates, Kat, Xepher, Mike, Kevin, Elton, and even Brennen stood in the hallway of the mansion with active party poppers. Everyone laughed and came up to greet me at the door. I stood, smiling like an idiot.

"Welcome back Trianna!" Kevin grinned and gave me a hug. I gave him a smile and hugged him back before being interrupted; Xepher, Devyn, and Kat came up to me practically squealing, 

"You're back!" Kat gave me a tight hug.

"It's so good to see you, Tri." Devyn gave me a side hug with a drink in the other hand. It was then that I looked around and saw streamers and a bunch of confetti all over. They really planned it out.

"We've gotta have another Girls' Day now that you're here." Xepher handed me a drink and grinned.

"My gosh it's good to see you guys again," I laughed. I looked over my shoulder and Colby had a smirk on his face as he stared me down. "What?"

"Are you happy?"He smirked again.

"So happy. You organized this, didn't you?" 

"I may have brought up the idea...and got the food...and told everyone..." He shrugged and smiled at me again.

"Thanks, Cole." I grinned at him again. "I'm gonna run upstairs and steal a pair of your shorts- if I'm gonna eat like a pig I can't wear tight jeans." 

"Okay but you better say hi to Sam," Colby pointed behind me where Sam stood arms crossed, eyebrow raised, a slight smirk. 

I immediately ran over to him and jumped into a hug, 

"Sammyyyyyy!" I squeezed his body between my arms as tight as I could.

"I definitley didn't miss your cobra hugs-" Sam breathed hoarsely. He rapped his arms around my torso and hugged me back. "I'm glad you're home. You get here safe?"

"Yeah- I'll tell you about it in a minute, I need to change." 

"Okay, make it quick." 

"Of course," started walking up the stairs and went to Colby's room. 

It hadn't changed much; sticky notes still covered the walls, clothes on the floor, unmade bed, still the same old Colby's room I knew. I grabbed a pair of his black  jean shorts, they were big on my but i used my belt to make them look loose-fit on purpose. Once they were on right, I made my way back downstairs. Instantly upon getting to the bottom of the stairwell, I was greeted by Corey, standing, holding a drink. He kind of looked pissed and it freaked me out. 

"Hey Tri." He looked at me and said.

"Uh hey Cor-" Corey then suddenly hugged me and laughed a bit. 

"Why didn't you say hi to me, too?" 

"I needed to change and I didn't immediately see you, sorry!" I looked up at his face as he let me out of the hug and smiled. 

"It's whatever- Aaron is over there, you should go say hi to him and Mike. Elton and Brennen, too." 

"K. Thanks, Corey." I grinned and walked over to Aaron, who was with Jake and Mike by the kitchen. 

"Hey Trianna!" Aaron gave a familiar friendly vibe.

"It's so good to see all of you guys again! I was so disappointed when you couldn't come to the party last time I was here," I gave Mike and Aaron hugs and sat back against the wall to join in on their conversation.
