Before i could say anything, he stood up and whispered something in my ear, then stepped back and shoved the stake through his heart, he slowly started to turn into ash, i stared at him and knew
what i had to do,untill all that was left of my boss was a pile of ash, and a stake. i squatted by the pile of ash and took a hand full, letting it sift through my fingers. The bastard killed my boss,
i thought. he was the best boss i ever had he was a great vampire, even for all his faults. Rage over-took the sorrow in my heart, i could fell the fire in my eyes burning through my whole body.
i would catch the bastard who did this no matter what, i stood up and looked around
the room for a jar or something to put Raymond's ashes in, after finding an empty tin i started to clean up his office. after an hour of taking all my anger
out on cleaning the room, it was as good as new, almost, i put Raymond ashes on the shelves in the far corner of his office, now my office, and walked out to check on Gaille.
She was staring into space, she was one tortured Werewolf right now, her blonde hair was messy and her deep green eyes were full of horror. i sighed and flooded her mind with love and peace,
after which i felt completely drained, i couldn't stop her from remembering but i could help her get over it. Gaille blinked and her eyes focused on my face, her eyes still held horror.
"I'm sorry Sara, i couldn't stop him" she said and started to cry again.
i walked over and gave her a hug. tears started to blur my vision, i pushed away my sorrow and focused on the fact that i was now the Boss of SCI Auckland.
"it's going to be OK Gaille" i said letting her go and looking into her, red rimmed, eyes. She nodded and i continued "When is everyone coming in today?" i said grabbing some tissues from the
box and offering them to her.
She took them blew her nose and glanced at the clock. " In about an hour"
"Gaille i want you to send me that picture, then get me a coffee and make sure no-one disturbs me for another"- i quickly calculated in my head-"four hours, unless it is life or death alright?"
"Yes Sara" i turned and walked away. before i got to the door i turned around and told her I'd need a new computer ASAP. Once inside the door i began to flick through the filing on all the
SCI agents in the Auckland area. After an hour Gaille came in and gave me a coffee and a new laptop. i thanked her and looked at the image of the young woman, She had brown hair that looked
as if it should hang to her waist, i wasn't going to see her face this way, i remembered what Raymond had said about saying 'she' was gone. i clicked the button on the intercom.
"Gaille come here will you?"
"Right away boss." she said and clicked of the intercom. Boss suited me i thought smiling to myself, i pushed the thought, i knew i wasn't going to be boss for long, not because i would get killed,
but the fact that none of the vampires or werewolves that worked here would not want a Dhampire running a major Supernatural agency. I would do everything in my power to make sure i was boss
for just this one case, i owed it to Raymond. The door opened slowly and Gaille's head appeared in the gap that was made, she sighed and walked in.
"Sorry i thought it would be......well i don't know what i thought" she said walking over to my desk.
I swiped away the comment with a sweeping motion with my hand.
"Gaille, did Raymond mention anything about a mate, or come to the office with a girl that looked like the woman in the photo at all?" .
