"Wait!"

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

The sound of the alarm was just enough to wake me up. My vision was still blurry, so I rubbed my eyes to clearly see the time.

9:35 AM.

"Shoot", I whisper-shouted while I was about to get up. The noise of the alarm kept on going until I disabled it. It was Sunday. For others this is a relaxing day. But for me, it's what I call "pain-day".

"Jin? Wake up already! It's now past 9 and you're still in your bedroom?!"

It was my twin sister, Jen. She has a small face with pimples all over her cheeks. She's a little fat and is always wearing her favorite purple pajama. Jen's just a minute older than me and she is always time-conscious. She always ventures with her friends and is, I admit, fun to be with. Sometimes.

"Coming!" I shouted with a volume just enough to reach her tiny ears.

"Hurry up or you'll be eating with Snow again!" she replied.

Snow is our dog. He was named Snow because the texture and color of his fur is like snow. He's also my best pal. When I needed someone to be with to make me feel comfy, Snow is there. (That's how lonely I am.)

When I went out of my room, the first thing I saw was my mom, munching on an apple for breakfast. My mom ain't a vegetarian, but she doesn't want to get fat, so... that explains it. She really isn't that fat though.

"Son! Did you sleep late again?",my mom questioned, worried.

I  just grinned and didn't reply, since it was too obvious. I binge watched Soul Eater last night and wasn't conscious that it was late. I was too lazy to check the time.

"Jin, you shouldn't do that to yourself. You're still 13. You know the consequences of your actions."

That voice was very familiar. It was my dad, sitting on the couch, watching the news. He's always the one who makes you feel that a small mistake is a burden that's almost impossible to carry. In other words, he makes you feel very guilty on a very small error. Even though he has bigger eyebags than me, he always warns me about sleeping late. Talk about advising.

"I know, Pa, I know." If I didn't say this, it would have been an one-hour lecture.

The conversation ended when Jen served the food for our breakfast. They all sat surrounding the table. Since I was hungry, I joined them.

As I open the cover of the bowl that was in the dark, round, wooden table, another plate catched my attention. It was chicken from the 5-star restaurant just across the street. "Did someone win the lottery or something?" I questioned sarcastically while getting a piece.

"It was your aunt, Jin.", Jen replied while slicing a mango.

"Ah. So... she won the lottery then?" I asked, trying to make a point.

"She said that she encountered a stranger last week.", she answered to my pointless question. "The stranger talked to her about a deal."

"What deal?", I asked, curious of what was going on.

"She will become rich and succesful, but she needs to give something in return.", she replied, answering my question.

"Weird. Maybe it's one of those 'people' again", I said trying to cut the conversation. I also don't want to dig deeper to this weird event.
