Jude

(A/N : This is not the continuation of Chapter I. This is just an anecdote of what happened to Jude.)

"Jin? Where are you? Let's go!", Jude asks gushly over the phone. It's Thursday. Since it's summer, I can actually do most of what I want to do, especially going on an adventure with my only friends, Jude and Renz.

"Just chill, Jude. I'm almost there.", I answer back on the phone.

"Fine. But please hurry. It's getting late.", Jude said.

When I looked at my watch to see the time, I was not surprised, since I knew that I'm that slow.

10:00 AM.

Ugh. Time goes by pretty fast.

When I arrived at the specified rendezvous point, which was the coffee shop called "Café au Lait", which means "coffee with milk", a person with a mountain-climbing attire approached me with a big smile on his face. It was Renz, with Jude behind him.

We weren't going for a coffee break, but instead, we were going to do an activity which might kill us.

We are going on an adventure to the spooky forest called "Lost Trees". Not very spooky right?

But this forest was said to believe that when you enter the forest while making your own path (meaning you're taking the main road), you will have a great chance of encountering the major "ringers", which can talk you to a deal that you can't dismiss, so it would be hard to ignore it.

They might also kill you if they wanted to.

So if you ever encounter one, then you're one lucky guy, for you can also consider this encounter your last day on earth.

Since the road beside the coffee shop's the closest route to the forest, we decided to meet here.

"Let's go!", Jude shouted in enthusiasm, signaling us to go with her. "You heard her, Jin."
Renz said with a hushed tone, smiling.

"Fine.", I shrugged, dismissing the look on his face.

"What's this?", asked Jude, curious of every weird-looking thing she enconters .

"That's just a weird-looking tree, Jude.", I said with a harsh tone, trying to let Jude focus on why we're really here.

Actually, the real reason why we are in this risky adventure was we were trying to find an old cabin. Not very risky, right?

The cabin was said to have treasures and riches that would last for a lifetime.

When it comes to riches and that kind of stuff, Renz is your guy. He's very entusiastic when it comes to money. If he was one of the seven deadly sins, he would literally be Greed.

He's also the one of the reasons why I'm in this creepy forest.

"There it is!" Renz shouted, as if he was the only human in the world.
