Chapter 1 : The Offer

I have always been a strong individual and perhaps that is why I have always preferred the company of my own thoughts over the company of others. Maybe it was because of my isolated childhood on my family's farm that I never conformed to societies stereotype of what a girl should act and desire. Contrary to the happy-go-lucky Barbie girl appearance, my face transfixed itself into a natural constant expression of indifference and unhappiness as I happily daydreamed my uneventful life away. Because of lacking connection between my thoughts and outward appearance, most people tended to avoid me.I have never really complained, for it allows my imagination to run rampant in an interrupted in its creation of countless scenarios.

These scenarios consist of whatever fictional series I am currently addicted to; as well as, myself portrayed as a gorgeous, indestructible protagonist. The current fixation of my thoughts hone in on my favorite anime Black Butler.

I say as I hold my head in a futile attempt to relieve my ongoing headache that decided to appear earlier this evening. I can deal with the pain; however, the dizzy spells black spots that accompany my headache are another story. Annoying is an understatement. Nevertheless, I focus on the task at hand. When would initially believe writing a fanfiction would be easy.

A couple of hours into character development proves to be fruitful. "Heehe her Hhee!" My head snaps up as my icy blue orbs dart around to identify the source of the maniacal laughter.
'Great, Now I'm hearing things!' I just dismiss the sound and continue my work. "Hee Hee! You are in such fine condition my dear." No I know I'm not imagining that voice; especially when the owner of said voice is staring directly into my eyes through his silver bangs.

A normal, sane person would be startled and probably smack the shit out of a person who has just appeared in front of them out of nowhere, but I find myself unusually calm. "Undertaker?" I ask in a daze. His toothy smile enlarges in response to identification. "Why yes my dear, 'tis I. Might I say that it is a particular pleasure to meet you." Having the assumption that the conversation might last a while, I make my priorities known, "Skipping the idle chatter, why are you here and what do you want with me since you somehow know me?"

" You really haven't changed Lucinda. I'm here to ask you if you wish to return to the life he wants hat, well more or less." The disbelief expression worn on my face seemed to throw him into a giggling fit. He takes a good two minutes to compose himself. When calmed, he appears to recall I thought and turns down cast. "You don't remember anything at all do you lady Vaillancourt? Well I'll make this short and sweet for you: you once how do you live in the 'fictional' world you identify as Black Butler, and I can bring you back. All I need is your consent." Undertaker explains.

It is times like these where an offer seems too good to be true because it is too good to be true. If there is one thing I have learned, it is that everything has a price. Everything has a consequence.

I tilt my head brushing all of my blonde locks to the side and look him dead in the eye. " What is the price I have to pay for this?" I ask. He smiles slightly and says, "nothing that you have to lose my dear, nothing at all."

I ponder do you offer one last time and decide that this would be the most eventful thing to ever happen in my life. "I accept your offer Undertaker." With resolve I grasp his hand only to have darkness steal my sight.

Hello my darlings. Thank you for giving this book a chance. It has been too long since I've actually committed to writing a black butler book. This chapter is it had short but do not worry hopefully I will be able to give better results in the future. I'm always open for ideas for this book. If you do you have any ideas or scenario requests per se please let me know in the comments or message me. For a question for the chapter, who do you think Lucinda should end up with? I would love to hear your ideas. I will tell you that I will be including season two of the black butler anime however I will introduce some characters that show up more in the manga rather than the anime.
