After a long tiring day at School, the walk home after getting off the bus was worse. The clouds hung over me like they were swallowing me up to make my day many times more misurable. Which couldnt possibly be done as my day couldnt get worse. Or could it? Passing Abbotswell road and the corner shop, I saw a gang of kids from my school. Samantha and her followers. The same kids who beat that innocent girl, Layla, at lunch today. I wanted to go over and help but getting involved is the last thing i need. Everything slowed as they gained closer. Trying to avoid eye contact and bringing attention to myself, I looked to the ground. Watching my feet move steps closer to my fate. Wishing they would stop. In the background of all of this, i can hear my earphones playing classical music. The only music my parents could afford. Focusing on the faint lyrics distracted me from the upcoming events. The next thing I knew, they had walked past me as if nothing had ever happened. Well....that's something. They must have thought I was someone else and not have payed much attention. Good for me. I dont know what I would have done if they had beaten me up. Would I have stood up for myself? Would i have stood there breathless? Would i have turned and run the opposite direction?
