Hey everyone. This short story is part one of a few more. I don't know when I'll write the others but I'm sure I'll get there sooner rather than later. Before that, I'm writing a BNHA Au zombie walking dead thing for my best friend. If you have any requests go ahead and comment. Thanks for reading!

.........................................................................................

My name is Grace Tallahassee Jones.....at least, that's what the guards tell me.

I'd woken up about a month ago, unable to remember what had happened to me, if I had a family, or what my name was. I was in a gray cell, no windows, and one wall was made of bars. I was always watched and, after getting my name from the guards, I was unable to get anything else out of them. I paced all day, unable to do anything but wonder what my past life was....or how to escape.

I tugged at the choker around my throat. It was there for a reason. I couldn't get it off. Sometimes, I wondered if this was the thing suppressing my memories.

Lunch came, as per usual. I ate slowly, angry that I had to rely on anyone for food to keep myself alive.

I looked up, unhappy. I went to eat one of the chicken strips when my teeth bit down on something hard. Surprised, I looked at the strip of meat. There was a metal something within it. I turned, presenting my back to my captors. I was mildly curious as to what this metal thing was. I pulled it out and realized it was a very thin container. Opening it as I munched on my meat, I found a note within. It only had two words written on it.

"Get Down."

With a shrug, I sprawled on the floor and, unsurprisingly, a crash sounded as something went through the wall. The guards yelled and I heard disgusting crunching noises as they stopped yelling.

I looked up.

"Grace?" a young male voice said.

"I prefer Jones....though I don't recognize either name."

A black nose poked through the dust cloud. I could see a wolf with gray fur and dark blue markings standing in front of me. Why wasn't I surprised?

"Would you mind coming back with me?" the wolf asked me, piercing green eyes staring holes into my head.

"Fine," I sighed. "There'd better be food. You interrupted lunch."

The wolf shook his head, confused but turned to present his back. I climbed on and held tight as the wolf kept out the window. I took a deep breath. So this was outside. The sky was so blue. And there were plants but mostly gravel as we traveled across an empty base.

"Where are all the guards," I said calmly, watching as the landscape flew by. We had entered a forest which the wolf was navigating very well.

"Mila should have taken care of them," the wolf said in reply.

"Do I get to meet this Mila?"

"The wolf looked back at me. "You really are strange. The times I've done this before, the rescuee is freaking out at this point."

"I don't have any memories before about a month ago so I expected something crazy to happen sooner or later," I said, silently making fun of these others that had been so freaked out by something that would so obviously happen.

The wolf sighed. "Whatever. We need to get out of here, though. The people who run that facility would do anything to kill me."

"Just that?" I said, sensing that this wolf had a bit of an ego. "Nothing to do with me?"
