His face turned in to a huge grin, and I'm sure mine did too. I couldn't believe this, it had to be a dream. I blinked, repeadly, trying to make sure my vision was clear. Trying to make sure it was him that stood in front of me.
"Hey! Hey, oh my gosh... Noah.. Hey."
I stuttered a lot, but I was so speechless. I was smiling so hard that it hurt. My heart was beating so hard, I was so happy to see him.
"Hey Jamie!" He said.
He looked really excited, but I wasn't sure. Maybe I was being silly.
He grinned, and walked around the counter.
"Damn, I thought I'd never see you again." He said, half smiling.
I laughed, maybe he was partly excited to see me. The thought sent a chill down my spine.
"I know, I forget to give you something." I said,
He grinned. "What would that be?" he asked flirtatiously.
Jokingly, I reached into my pocket and pulled out a mint, dropping it in his hand.
He looked down, and his smile faded. He must've really been excepting my number or something.
"Trying to tell me that breath stinks?" He asked, popping the mint in his mouth.
I giggled, "No, here."
I reached into my pocket, pulling my phone out. I unlocked it, and went my contacts. I clicked on new contact, and handed the phone to him.
He grinned.
"I don't want your number." He said.
His voice was so serious, and stern, I thought he was serious. But his smirk, and subtle laugh made me realize different.
I watched him put his number in, and hand me the phone back.
"Are you actually going to text me?" He asked, laughing.
I grinned. "No, I just wanted your number to stare at it."
We stood there for a moment, silently. I could actually believe I was seeing him again. Butterflies grew in my stomach. Then he broke the silence.
"Well, I better get back to work, people get pissed when nobody takes their order."
"Understandable." I said, smiling.
"Text me, okay?"
"Alrighty."
I walked away, forgetting that I wanted coffee. I pulled out my phone, and texted him right away.
"hey :) it's Jamie."
I wanted him to reply immediately, but I was almost positive that wasn't going to happen.
I walked around the mall browsing stores, until I ran into Annabell. She held 3 bags of clothes in her hands. It sounds sort of crazy, but I was expecting more from her, honestly. She smiled.
"Lets go to Aeropostale now."
I followed behind her, and looked over Noah at Starbucks. He smiled at me, and I waved, continuing on. When we reached Aeropostale, I figured I'd get that dress I wanted. With any luck, I would be going on a date soon. I made my way over towards the dresses, only to discover the one I wanted was gone.
I was disappointed, but I figured that American Eagle or Hollister might have better clothes anyways, and I am beyond sure that Annabell wouldn't mind shopping more.
