The day it all went further into hell, Delilah Sydney was laying in her bed in her isolation cell in the Prison Station of the Ark, or as she and every other teenager called it the Sky Box, a loving smile was on her lips as she looked at the wall next to her bed, squibbles and figurines, childlike but still she loved them, and even though she was currently in an isolation cell, she had actually made it bearable to live in.
The four walls around her were marked with a never ending story and childish drawings, flowers and games, although the games were more on the floor than the walls,a few children books littered the floor along with toys and the machine hum that resonated all around the Ark filled the almost quiet room, that was until the door opened.
This forced the half brunette half honey blonde haired 17 year old girl to slowly turn to the door with a small glare on her face, only to have it disappear as the sight of the only adult man that ever truly cared for her appeared, and in it's place a sad frown appeared, she knew what that day was, it was her birthday and it was the day that her case would be reviewed, her chances of keeping her life and being allowed to stay were a little more than half now that the Council knew the full truth behind her crime, however, she knew that her mother would do anything her power to send her away.
"What's the verdict?" Delilah found herself inquiring lowly, her right arm tensing around the small body that lay next to her. "There's no verdict, you and the rest of the delinquents are being sent down to Earth." Marcus Kane replied as he entered the isolation cell with a guard behind him holding a small box, the frown on Delilah's face deepened but before she could say anything Marcus Kane added "The Ark is dying and that's why we're sending you guys down to see if Earth is survivable." His words did little to comfort Delilah but still she nodded.
"Prisoner 412 please face the wall." the guard said lowly and gently not to awake the sleeping petite body next to the birthday girl, Delilah sighed and complied, slowly, bringing her right arm from under the sleeping body and forcing her slightly aching body to stand, the drowsiness seeping into her bones begging her to lay back down and sleep more. But like with everything in her life Delilah fought that urge and walked to the wall parallel to the door and extended her arms, the guard nodded at her, even though the birthday girl couldn't see it, and opened the box that he had been carrying, pulling and electric bracelet from inside and opening it.
"Will you take care of her for me?" Delilah inquired her only honest and good father figure, "I will protect her with my life and I promise that when we follow you down to Earth that she'll be safe and that you will see her again."Marcus Kane told the half brunette, half honey blonde, sadness seeping into his words, he then turned to the guard and nodded at him, signalling him that he could now put the bracelet on the prisoner, so the guard did, he walked forward and clasped the bracelet on the young girl who barely winced.
"Do you want to say goodbye?" Marcus inquired at the young girl who was looking at the blonde sleeping body on the bed, "No, I already said goodbye yesterday. If we wake her up now she'll be a crying mess and not even you can calm her down." Delilah replied, turning around and slipping on her boots easily. Marcus smiled softly and opened his arms to the girl who eagerly rushed into them and hugged him tightly.
