Chapter 1
Luna POV
It hurt. Just a little bit though. Nothing to bad for me to take. Nothing to bad for me to want to do it again.
I felt the blood in my veils rush from my heart to my wrist and repeat the cycle right before I cut. When the blade punctured my skin it sent a sharp pain ring through my whole body like a church bell. Targeting all my tender spots then resting on that one area. I wanted to scream but I held it in. I didn't want my mom to walk in and see. I could'nt let her see me like this. Her perfect daughter. With her perfect attitude. With the perfect future. I'd do anything to keep it that way.
I began to drag the blade across. Once again the sharp pains rang through my body and my eyes began to sting with tears. I squeezed my eyes shut trying to hold them back. Great now my eyes will be red. I thought to my self as I drug the blade one last inch across my wrist. I stopped and took a deep breath. Slowly I felt the pain from my troubles and worries disappear. I set the blade down on the side on the tub sat there for a moment.
The tears were no longer stinging my eyes. I looked up to the ceiling and blinked hoping to air dry them away. I wrapped a black towel around myself as I stepped out my bath water. I took out the stopper and listened to the gurgling sound of the water going down the drain. Before I walk out, I grab the blade and hide it in my fist . I sprint out the bathroom door to my room as I hear my mothers foot steps coming up the stairs.
I run as fast I can to my room. Im a door away before I hear her take her last step at the top if the stair case. "Luna!" my mother calls out. "Luna is that you?"
I turn around slowly to face her. I don't want to offend her by not looking her in the eye. The military taught her that looking someone in the eye is a sign of respect. She taught me the same. I swing my arms behind me and face her. Smile. I remind myself. I have to be perfect. "Yeah. It's me. I was on my way to my room. I just got out the shower."
"Kay. I just wanted to make sure your uniform was ready for school tommorrow and stop saying 'yeah'. You say 'yes'. 'Yeah' is disrespcetful," my mom reminded me as he walked away headed to her room. "Sorry, mom. Won't happen again." I walked swiftly into my room and shut the door closed behind me. I sighed loudly before leaning against the wall. Tears flooded my eyes and just as I try squeeze them shut, tears begin to stream down my cheeks. I don't want to go to school tomorrow. I don't want to go! I dont want to see him again. Not now. Not ever. Especially not tomorrow.

Charlie POV
I could smell the scent of blood in the air. Even while I'm one whole state away, I can still smell the blood of my now dead companion. He asked for it. He was always too cocky. Too clever. Too daring. Don't get me wrong, I was always down for some risky taking but.... taking on 7 rival vampires at once... That wasn't a risky. It was stupidity. A death sentence. I barely made it out with a stab wound. And I'm a level A. A pure blood. One of the strongest vampires walking the earth. I mean yeah I'm a female but I've know for being "one of the guys".
But Michael should have known that even as level A vampire we are not invincible. Now he's dead. Tough shit for him. Hope he has fun down there. My heart is numb to this type of pain. I've lost many friends. I've also lost family. But after the first 100 years of my life I lost much emotion.
I continued walking down the highway holding the stab wound on my leg. It stung everytime I took another step forward. Why haven't I healed yet? I should have healed hours ago! I wanted to scream in pain but out of fear of being followed I just clinched jaw. I continue on another mile before I collapse in the woods. I need to rest. I thought as I attempted to climb a tree to rest in it. I fall just as I make it half way up. The sound from my fall was extremely loud and my caution increased. I listen closely to my surrounding to see if I can hear my enemies following me.
Crunch!
My instant reaction is to run. I take off running as fast as I could with my wounded leg. Holding my breath and sucking up the pain I feel from my leg I push harder and harder. I have to make it to Harvey's. Harvey can help me. Just before I can reach the porch of Harvey's cabin a hand grabs my shoulder and pulls me to the ground. An arrow flies over my head and hits the cabin door. What the hell is going on?! Was that a cross bow?! I look up to see Harvey holding me down on the ground as he fires his solar bullets. I hear shrieking and cries for mercy coming from behind me. So I was being followed. A smirk spread across my face, knowing that my senses were still top notch even while I'm wounded gave my such pride.
"You can get up now, Kid," Harvey said as he let me go and began to walk to him cabin. As I stood to my feet and gained my balance I suddenly felt my shoulder begin to ache severely. I hadn't even noticed how hard Harvey was holding me down. He's 3000 years older than me but his strength seems to increase every thousand years. "Damn Harv, lay of the weights!"
"Hey! No cursing over here," he said giving me one of those 'I'll get you next time' looks parents give to there children after the make a minor mistake. "Alright. Alright. No more," I promised him and I lifted my hands in surrender to him. He makes his way into the cabin and disappears into his room. I limped my way up the stairs slowly. Now that I'm not being followed, I can take me time with this leg.
The moment I made it over the threshold, Harvey throws a blanket my way. I stumbled but caught it. I made my way to his cough. Even with the 10 candles lit around the whole house, it was still dark and I almost tripped over Harvey's giant shoe. I limped a little further before I plotted onto the cough. A sharp mind numbing pain shot though my body nearly paralyzing me. Thankfully the pain was temporary as the cushion from the couch soothed my pain. I pull the cover over me and prepared to drift off into a long sleep so I can heal until Harvey throws a water bottle full of his potions. "What's this for?" I asked confused and frustrated that he stopped me from sleeping. "It'll help you heal faster. You were hit in a target area. It would usually take up to a week to heal but that'll heal it over night. Whoever got you tonight was very skilled." He then walked away and waved me goodnight.
So thats why I haven't healed yet. I opened the bottle and began to drink the potion. It was disgusting. It was insanely bitter and tangy. It tasted like a lime and cranberry was squeezed together to make juice and salt was add to give a kick. Yeah Harvey knows how to make the nastiest things. I finish the drink and let myself drift away to sleep hoping that this potion actually works.
