As I made my way outside I pondered the night. Was this all a dream? Am I going to wake up at any moment? Well, I definitely felt the pain of my arm breaking so probably not. When I got into my car it wouldn't start. Dammit. I must have left my lights on again. Of course I'm the last car in the lot and there's not a person in sight. I put my head back on the seat and thought about what I should do next. I look at my phone. Dead. I frantically search for a charger but I remember that I took it out last night. Great. Add that to the list of bad things. I take a breath and pray someone comes to my rescue. I lay my head down again.

I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know someone is tapping on my window. I look up to see Braden again. I crank my window down. "Are you okay?" He asks. The look on his face is so sincere. I nod. "I guess my battery died." He opens my door and puts out his hand. I take it and he leads me into his tour bus. I sit down in the couch and he leaves.

When he comes back he tells that me someone will be helping me get my car started but in the meantime I can stay where I am. "Can I use your phone?" I ask. Without hesitation he pulls his cell out of his pocket and hands it to me. I dial my dad and explain the situation, leaving the celebrity part out. I reassure him that I'm okay and tell him I'll be home later. I hand Braden his phone back and he nods. "All good?" I tell him yes then we stay in silence for a bit.

After what seems like forever, someone steps into the bus and tells me my car is running. I nod at Braden, thank the man, & leave. I get into my car and proceed to drive off. I see Braden step off the bus but I don't stop.

I got home about an hour later than I wanted to. I tell my dad I'm home and go to my room. I fall asleep almost instantly. I dreamt about Braden and woke up in a good mood.

That morning I called the Walk-in Clinic to get my arm x-rayed. They got me in right away. Sure enough, broken elbow. I chose a purple cast and it goes all the way up to my shoulder. Great, this will be a fun 8 weeks.

After running errands I went home to find my dad in his prize-winning garden. I had neglected to tell him about my arm last night so he was surprised to see me. "It's nothing." I said and turned to go into the house. When I got into the house I heard the phone ringing. I answered to hear someone say my name on the other end. "This is her, and you are?" It was Braden. "What, how?" He explained that he just hit redial on his phone and hoped for the best.
