John was a 'normal' teen, except for the fact that he is madly in love with High School Musical. It wasn't a normal obsession he talked about it non-stop and associated everything with it. John was only fifteen and his only friend was a High School Musical DVD.
John had all the HSM merch in the world, there wasn't a single one he didn't have. His blankets were also HSM themed, in fact his whole room was HSM themed. John slept with a Troy Bolton body pillow and a blanket with the whole cast on it, his pillow case was an enlarged picture of Gabriella Montez's face, it was kinda creepy.
John also read and wrote fanfics, he even made fanart. So you could say his obsession was big, but it wasn't always that way. If we go back to when John was ten he was a normal boy who liked to play outside with his friends, he rarely came inside. His sister on the other hand spent all her time watching TV. One day when John came inside he could hear the his sister's TV.
John thought nothing of it and went into the fridge to get a drink. He did so and walked up the stairs to get to his room so he could relaxe, but on his way down the hall he heard the most beautiful sound
"We're all in this together. Once we know That we are We're all starts and we see that, we're all in this together..."
John's eyes grew wide as this song rung through his ears, a small smile found it's way on his face. He walked down the hall all the way to his sisters room, where the door was cracked open. And that's when he saw it, the kids dancing and singing on the stage, smiling and laughing. It made him feel great.
John's eyes grew bigger and his smile wider. John wanted to watch this movie with his sister so he politely knocked on her door. A few seconds after the movie paused. He could only see the screen and not his sister, but the sounds of the bed creaking told John she was coming. His sister opened the door
"Yes how may I help you little Jacky ?"
She kneeled down to be the same size as her brother
"Uh uhm I w-was wondering i-if I could..."
He stumbled over his words
"Go on spit it out"
His sister was obviously impatient
"If I c-could watch w-with you?"
His sister smiled and nodded
"Of course come in"
She stepped out of the way of the little boy who ran in to her room. John jumped on the bed and got comfortable. His sister joined him and hit play. The sound started again and John got excited. He moved around to the music and smiled. From that day on he made sure he watched it every day weather it was with his sister or his parents he didn't stop until they agreed. From that day forward John knew he was in love.
