I listened to you and thought that you changed
You looked at me like I was everything
And I thought you had those sparkles in your eyes again
You hugged me like you wanted to keep me forever
And I thought it could make me feel whole again
You kissed me like you wanted to give me your heart
And I was ready to accept it
You played with my hair like it was your favorite thing to do
And I giggled because it felt real
You told me I was the most beautiful girl
And I thought you were saying the truth
You said you loved me
And I believed you
And do you know what?
I was so dumb.
