As I walked away from the car I sneered to myself. I thought I was safe in this world. To a certain degree I still was, but if Jadus could get into this world I would have to be on guard at every waking moment.

I shook my head. I needed to be optimistic. Yes, Jadus was a threat and so was this unknown spell he put over me, but if the dreams continued I'd figure the spell out and then I could prevent it from completing itself. Even though Jadus could get into this world, he did not know where I was and I had more eagerness then ever to complete my training.

I took a deep breath as I entered the school building. Positive, I had to be positive.

When I took my first look at my new school the smile I had forced onto my face suddenly became a lot harder to hold. Not only was the building just as huge as it seemed, but it was also packed with students. How on earth was I going to make it through without being trampled?

On the outside of the school, it was clear that it was massive with three levels in total and a huge gymnasium attached at one end while the theatre and library were on the other. The entire school was covered in brownish-red brick with long, concrete stairs that led up to the main floor.

The school grounds were beautiful, the front lawn had several picnic tables set up on lush green grass and there was a beautiful, thick tree line that went around the back of the school and into the woods.

The inside of this massive building was not as impressive. It had plain white walls lined with grey lockers and plain grey and white coloured tiles for the floor. At the end of the main hall there was a large set of stairs, I could not hold back my groan when I could already see the number of times I would trip climbing up them. As if I had not already embarrassed myself enough in this world...

I looked at the school schedule Emily had got for me when I was registered; she was kind enough to put my locker number and the map for the school on the back of it. I did not realize until now how necessary the map was.

Studying it carefully as I ignored the occasional stares from students as they saw the new girl, I followed the map to the end of the hall and turned left. Once I reached locker number eighty-one I put in my combo and opened the creaking door to put in the things I did not need for my first class.

"Lillyana Rivers," I heard an all too familiar voice say in a cheery tone.

I closed my locker door and saw none other than Kaleb Reid leaning against the locker next to mine. He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with the arms pushed up to his elbows and a pair of dark jeans with black shoes. His effortlessly perfect hair was swept into a dark mess that still, somehow, made him look amazing. Why did someone so handsome need to get on my last nerve?

"You must be joking," I said, not bothering to hide my displeasure as I leaned against my locker.

A playful smirk danced on his lips. "Well, hello to you too."

"Oh, where are my manners? Wait, I think they left right after you forgot yours," I said as I rolled my eyes.

His smirk grew to a full grin. "No, I'm pretty sure they tried to catch up with your sense of humour and drag it back."

I glared at him. "Well, this has been fun, but I need to find my English classroom so if you'll excuse me..."

"I don't," he said firmly.

I stopped mid-step. "What are you talking about?"

"You asked for me to excuse you, but I don't, so you have to stay." He said it flatly, but the amusement in his eyes gave him away.

"You're hilarious," I said as I took a step away from him.

He moved away from the lockers and stood beside me. "See, your sense of humour's back."
