Anti had been living at the Compound for a week now. Dark had successfully avoided him every single day and he didn't know what he was actually meant to be doing so he'd spent the majority of his time mingling with the Egos as they fluttered about. They were odd bastards.

There were two androids. Google and Bing. Google was an asshole and Bing was... well, Bing was Bing. Warfstache came and went randomly, bursting into existence in the bathroom while Anti was taking a shower on multiple occasions. The Host was creepy. Did he narrate everything or just do it when Anti was around? There were the Jim's who Anti found amusing. There were just so many people doing such stupid stuff. It was wonderful.

Anti still wanted to know where Dark was. He wanted to speak to Warfstache too. He figured he could do the latter first and ask about Dark at the same time.

That's how he found himself perched at the end of the man's bed, listening to him rambling on about Darks favourite things. Nothing important. His favourite music, his most used pen brand, the type of suits he buys. Nothing that was interesting.

Anti snapped his fingers, regaining the attention of Wilford. "That's all really great but I want to have him bent over the table screaming my name and I don't think I'll get that by knowing what card games he plays."

Wilford shrugged. "How would you know? He likes the effort."

"I've been putting in effort! I never use the same jokes twice and at the rate we're going I'll be out of them by next week!"

He inhaled deeply, running his hands over his face. "He's not a slut."

Anti blinked. "Alright. Cool. How do I fuck him though?"

"You can't just do that! You have to take care, treat him like he actually means something to you. He may look big and scary, but he's a big ol' softy inside."

"Okay, I'm not catchin' what you're throwin' here. How about ya just tell me about when you two were caught in each other's bedsheets."

Wilford thought for a moment. "Don't tell Dark. He'll be mad at me for a while, and furious at you. Then you'll have no chance."

"Yeah, done deal, fine. Let's go."

"I met Dark a long time before he became the man he currently is, Anti." His voice was quiet, as if he were afraid of someone over hearing. Anti scooted closer. "He didn't have that cold, hard shell. He was a sweetheart. We were friends. To get anywhere with him, you have to establish some sort of relationship." Wilford lifted his hand, examining the pink nail polish he'd painted over his fingers. Anti was blowing across his own black ones.

"An awful thing happened to his sis- to a person he was close to, he shut himself off and became a very malicious Ego. One of the best, I'd say. I was as close as anyone could be to him at that stage. We meant a lot to each other. You need to earn Darks trust. Become his friend."

"How?"

"Get to know him. Go talk to him. He's in his study. I'll give you the key, he won't question it because he secretly enjoys your company. Strike up a conversation."

"What positions does he like?"

Wilford scoffed, taking the nail polish away from him and into a container with what was probably millions of other colours. "We'll get to that when you become his friend."

"So, I move up a level, I get a reward?"

"Don't play this like a game, Anti. I won't let you hurt him. If I see any signs of you genuinely not caring about him, I'll stop helping. I don't mean these heartless jokes. I mean when you're around him and talking about him. If I sense anything like that coming from you, I'll kill you without hesitation. Or I'll ask Dark to kick you out and he won't think twice about you. Got it?"

Anti nodded. He felt a bit of heat in his cheeks. He could feel the power radiating from Wilford and knew he was being truthful. He didn't really feel anything for Dark except for his raging hornyness. Maybe if he did try to get to know him they'd get somewhere. He'd never had a real relationship, maybe it'd be fun to mess about with for a while. Or not. He could fool around, break through Darks shell, earn Wilfords trust then leave. Wouldn't be too difficult, probably.

He had a lot to think about. The thought of Dark being 'soft' and 'affectionate' was odd but not completely unwelcome. Wilford probably wouldn't say anything more about it until they were buddies and Anti was lowkey interested about Darks backstory.

He stood up from the bed, taking the key from Wilfords hand. "I'll return it later, I guess."

"Good." Wilford pushes him through the door into the hallway outside Darks study. "I wish you luck, friend."

Anti ducked in a breath, his heart beating a bit quicker as he unlocked the door.
