Behind This Illusion

"So,I was right Sakurazukamori,you'd step in to protect my twin star." The Kamui looked down at his fellow Dragon of Earth,before raising his sword again. "Well then,if you're going to protect him,you have to go first then."

Subaru frowned. Of course he didn't want Kamui to die, but just him interfering wouldn't actually solve anything....Kamui also hadn't realized his true wish.

"Stubborn just like your predecessor aren't you Sakurazukamori? if you don't mind dying,I'll grant you your wish."

Subaru sighed in resignation, maybe Kamui would be able to do something if the other Kamui was distracted while killing him... "Go right ahead. My true wish can't be granted anymore anyways. I'm sorry Kamui."

"If that is what you wish. Although I can understand why."Fuuma raised his sword ready to stab his fellow dragon of earth. The attack on Subaru never came. A barrier was placed in-between him and Fuuma and a pair of arms lifted Subaru up,leaping to the top of the tower.

"Since when is my Subaru-kun so selfish?"

Subaru's eyes widened. This could NOT be happening, but there was a barrier, and he was CLEARLY being held. "S-Seishirou-san........? H-h-how?! I......How are you here??"

"Later Subaru-kun,we need to put some distance between us and 'Kamui' and sadly with only half my power,my maroboshi won't hide us from him,so hold on we're going home to ward ourselves in."

Subaru could only nod dumbly. "O-okay....."

Once back in his old apartment and with wards up,Seishirou finally sat on his old couch. "Subaru-kun...why are my clothes scattered all over the place?" He finally took of his sunglasses revealing his still mismatched eyes,except now his left eye was the blind one.

*"Um....I....." Subaru paused. Seishirou hadn't answered HIS question from earlier! "You answer mine first Seishirou-san. How are you even here?? I...I k-killed you on the bridge....and you have your right eye back......

"Your sister.I saw her. She sent me back here after giving me a sound thrashing."

"...That sounds like Hokuto alright....But for what?" Subaru tilted his head.

"For breaking a promise and leaving you alone. She didn't buy my whole I couldn't forgive myself line. However. Subaru-kun,did you hear my last words on Rainbow Bridge?"

"What do you mean you couldn't forgive yourself?" Subaru blushed and nodded. "Y-yes....W....were you being honest there?"

"I can't forgive anyone that hurts you Subaru-kun,that includes myself." A pause as he looked at his ceiling. "Yes,I was."

Subaru frowned and hit the man's arm before hugging him. "You're a possessive idiot. You know that?....But I am glad you meant it....I've felt the same way for nine years Seishirou-san. Even during the Bet. At the end when you killed Hokuto, I wanted to kill you for a while. But that stopped long before the bridge, not that you listened to me there..."

"You believe me so quickly Subaru-kun? Now why are my clothes all over the place? Granted i left you everything i had right down to my title,but that doesn't explain why my clothes are all over the place."

"I probably shouldn't, but I do. And....um....because I got mad at you a few times for leaving me but I couldn't actually break anything....almost did once...ended up making myself more upset....and other times I just wanted your scent at least......

"Aw Subaru-kun just couldn't let me go,thats so cute. But let me ask you something Subaru-kun,why? I killed your sister so why?"

Subaru blushed. "I've loved you since even before the Bet ended....I also never wanted to think that you were an entirely bad person and I know you aren't.... and I know Hokuto wanted us together still. There isn't anyone else I've met even that I would ever want to be with."
