They felt like they wanted to run away from the place but they moved along the way, determined to tear down the mystery one by one.

Their breathings were loud the moment they arrived in a big clearing with a stoned wall with 4 empty blocks on the wall.

He then looked at the scattered blocks on the floor. "This is it," he said. "This is the room we were all looking for, Kaito."

The other male agreed and let out a soft sigh. "Now we only have to figure out those blocks. The coding to unlock this door."

Suddenly, it dawned to Shinichi. "One, four, one, two," he blurted out, moving to pick up the blocks, shoving it in the empty slots and Kaito looked at him, slightly startled. "What? How do you know it's the right one?"

"Instinct," Shinichi murmured and truth to the said instinct, the ground started to shake and the stone door opened up from the middle. He vaguely remembers at the back of his mind, an entry of the diary they found that said, "A weird dream I dreamt, a white figure that looked like an angel, standing there muttering 4 sets of numbers. I, IV, I and II."

Nervous and out of breath, Shinichi looked at Kaito with an excited look. "Ready to solve this 120 years old mystery?"

"Yeah," Kaito clasped his sweaty hand with Shinichi and entered the room, walking down the stone made stairs, looking around the gigantic underground chamber in awe.

And what they saw almost made them slipped and fall.

"S-Shinichi.. T-That's.." Kaito pointed, face lost all it's colour, trembling hand pointing at a very large portrait in the room.

".. us.." Shinichi finished for him, heart pounding very loudly in his chest. He could almost hear the rushing sound of blood pumping through his veins. That's just showed how shocked he was by this.. discovery.

The portrait on the wall was Shinichi and Kaito, standing there in French clothing, arm in arm, looking very bright and absolutely happy.

Very much in love.

Kaito couldn't take his eyes off the portrait. He couldn't put a finger on it but he distantly remembers something about the portrait, like a memory trying to resurface itself into his mind.

Shinichi silently walked towards the large tomb and opened it slowly. Inside it, two skeletal bodies were intertwined, like they're hugging each other while the first of the Kudo generation was on death bed of old age.

Kaito approached Shinichi and said in perfect French, "Do you believe in reincarnation, my beloved? I do. Fate will be kind to us on our next life, darling. Wait for me?"

"I will wait for you. No matter how long it takes, my Love," Shinichi replied back almost automatically. Kaito let a wry smile graced his lips as he stared of the two bodies they were supposedly in back then a hundred more years ago.

"A reincarnation, huh?" he hummed, leaning his head on Shinichi's shoulder. The latter placed an arm around his waist mindlessly. "I guess so.."

They spent hours in the chamber, looking at pictures of their previous life, reading notes they made and letters that the two lovers had sent to each other. It felt so natural for them and they felt like at home, like they belonged there.

"They had such beautiful memories with each other, don't you think?" Shinichi questioned and Kaito agreed to his boyfriend as he studied the 3 Dimensional underground map they had left.

"We do too," Shinichi added suddenly from behind him, wrapping two arms around Kaito's body. "I don't know why but I just.. I missed you."

"You felt that too, didn't you? That yearning feeling?" Kaito turned around and hugged him back tightly. "This hug feels much more intimate than before."
