Deja Vu

Anthony ran into the hospital emergency room entrance as a security guard followed behind him.

"Excuse me sir!" The man yelled only to have it fall on deaf ears.

"I need to find my wife," he said grabbing the attention of the receptionist.

"What's your wife's name?"

"Melissa Riviera,"

"She is in surgery right now,"

"Sir you have to move your car or else I'll have it towed." The security guard said only for Anthony to ignore him again.

"The doctor will be out to talk to when she is finished. Right now you can only wait. Why don't you move your car, I'm sure having your car impounded would only make things worse for you."

Anthony let out a short breath as he shook his head. He went back out of the hospital and parked his car before returning to the waiting room. He plopped down into a chair and covered his face with his hands as the last conversation he had with Melissa replayed in his mind. She was begging him for help but he ignored her, refusing to get caught up in the mess she was in, but he should have known better.

"Anthony?" A familiar voice called out and he felt a little bit at ease when he saw his mother-in-law.

"Hi ma,"

"What's going on? How's Melissa?"

"She's still in surgery, I don't know anything." He said as helped his mother-in-law into the seat next to him. He held her hand knowing that the only thing they could do was wait.

"Oh! That's the spot." Victoria moaned stopping Nick in his tracks. He stared at the door and was about to burst in when Gaby stopped him.

"Leave them alone," she hissed

"What do you mean leave them alone, do you not hear what I hear. We gotta stop-"

"-Stop what, get your mind out of the gutter. Victoria is practically in traction do you really think Dante would try anything."

"Just a little bit harder," Victoria pleaded and Nick burst through the door to find Victoria biting into a pillow as Dante scratched her foot through her cast with a bobby pin.

"Hi daddy," she squeaked as she waved at Nick before kicking Dante in the cheek.

"Will you stop kicking me,"

"I can't help it I'm ticklish." She said giving him a pretty pout.

"See I told you they weren't doing anything," Gaby said hitting Nick in the chest before pulling him out of the room.

"Are you staying over tonight?" Victoria asked ignoring her parents' intrusion.

"I don't think so, if I stay another night Nick might explode."

"Don't pay my dad any mind he's just a big softy."

"I don't want to test your theory, besides I have to get back to the shop." he said as he stood up.

"Okay," she said with a pout making Dante sit back down. He brushed her bang back from her face and kissed her lips.

"I really missed you, I don't know how I will survive if I have to go back."

"You won't go back. You are innocent and I'm going to make sure those charges get dropped." She said running her finger down the bridge of his nose.

"Did you miss me?"

"I don't know."

"I know you did, so why can't you just say it?"

"What more do you want from me, I already told you that I love you. You really are piling it on."
