The train sped through the endless fields and orchards of rural South Korea, bound for one of its last scheduled stops before the final destination in the bustling Busan.

A couple aboard, nonetheless, was nowhere near getting off in said metropoli —quite the expensive cultural hub of the country— but on one of those smaller towns.

Gwangmi* was to be the new home of those newlyweds.

"When are we arriving?" one of them asked the other, as he laid atop his chest and sighed, as those train seats were a bit too uncomfortable for him to sleep on "I'm bored"

The younger chuckled, as he placed a kiss on his husband's brunet locks "Soon, Jinnie, we will be soon living in our new home" he smiled.

SeokJin sat upright, and with his hands smoothed the small wrinkles on his big baby blue knitted sweater "You think it's going to be much different than Seoul, Tae?" he asked.

Taehyung pursed his thin lips and, then, gave his husband a signature square smile, so as to ease his nerves "I'm not too sure, but what I know is that it's going to be much cheaper" he assured.

Since their wedding a couple months ago —a very simple civil union at the town hall—, both had wanted to move in together, but it was madness the price of even the smallest apartment in one of the most economic districts.

And SeokJin, the lover of all things natural and colourful, wanted —even if he did never ouwardly say it— to have his own garden. Something that meant: a house.

Something that meant: a price too high for Taehyung to even dream of... and he wanted his beautiful husband to have all he wished for and more. He would give Changdeok Palace to him if only he could.

"Also, you are going to have as many flowers as you want" he confirmed with that same smile which, for his husband, was too contagious, and gave him his own beautiful smile.

"You are the best husband!" the brunet hugged Taehyung by the neck and again buried himself into his chest "But it would be better if you would let me work!" Jin pouted.

"You know I don't want to see my baby boy's hands soiled" he teased, before tapping him on the nose with a smile.

Taehyung was heading to that quiet and quaint town to be its new doctor, considering he had graduated top of his class —though, in all honesty and despite the fact that said job paid quite well, he had hopes of being successful in Seoul.

There, he could afford buying a small house with a garden and finally telling SeokJin that he did not want him to work.

He was quite old-fashioned in that sense... perhaps, more so than the town itself —even if it had been where King Injo* had stopped to before fleeing from the Manchus.

"Tae?" the brunet called, and got the attention of the blond, who had covered his eyes, as tried to have some sleep.

"Mm?" he asked in return, though not paying any mind.

"I'm so excited to start our new life together... because I love you" mumbled a bashful brunet, right on his husband's ear, before he hid his now red face against his chest.

"And I love you, too, baby" the blond, smiling at his beautiful husband's shyness, kissed the crown of his head.

Quite soon, both of them were engulfed in the serenity of their dreams, enjoying that soft movement of the train as well as the warmth of one another as they laid cuddling.

...

Gwangmi was a town which seemed to have stopped in time and lived in the tranquil ways of their Joseon ancestors surrounded by pink blossoms and hanok* houses.
