Cruel Mestre and The Kung Fu Priest

Chapter 1

(Scene one: An abandoned shack Bang!!! Two Ninja enter hauling in a severely beaten man named Ron. They tie him to a chair.

Ninja 1(N1): (Screams) Where is Rodando!?

Ron: (Mutters) Not on the island.

Ninja 2 (N2): Yes? So he did leave.

Ron: (Coughs) Look guys, yes. But I'm not sure why this time.

N1: Did someone put him up to it? The  man can leave whenever he wants. It's just now Master Kaos A is looking for him.

Ron: Why? They don't have much contact with each other. Mestre only knows that story of Kao as a great martial artist who came to the island and helped the people escape those secret prisons.

N1: He just wants to make sure none of our more influential Islanders made any secret alliances that would allow infiltration.

Ron: And you believe Rodando would? 

The two ninjas look at each other and laugh.

N1: (Laughs) In all of our years of training, you don't think we ever considered something like that?  Now look....

He grabs Ron's hair bringing his head back. Bringing his face to his.

N1: Someone like Rodando fits that perfectly. In order to bring more publicity to Capoeira, he leaves to show it off. Teaches to all kind of people.

Ron: And that's what this is about? Because he wants to expand. For God sakes, the man is 90.

N1:( Let's go of his hair) So what? He can be 152 and be a threat. And you don't care that he's gone?

Ron: I'm not his keeper.

N2: No. Just his best student. Set to take over if something happens to him.

Ron: He'll be fine. Nothing keeps him down for too long. I'm a quarter his age and I have never beaten him 1 on 1. Not even on my best day.

N2: Well did you see him leave?

Ron: No.

N1: Ever mention where he would like to go? Travel?

Ron: Like where?

N2: You know Paris, America, Brazil. Anywhere?

Ron: He could have said something in passing. I don't remember.

N1: Spit fire. Give us an idea of where.

Ron: What's going to happen to him if I do?

N1: I wouldn't put too much stock into worrying about that. You just said you're not his keeper.

Ron: Well I wouldn't try anything on him. And I'm saying that for your sake not for his.

N1: (Raises his arms in the air then drops them) Well there it is. Right there. They call him the Cruel Master. His training methods are let's say much.

Ron: Only for those who can't hang.

N 2: And what? You could?

Ron: Yep. His top student needs to be.

N2: And what would he make you do?

Ron (Chuckles) An excess amount of punches, kicks, flips. Oh and play Capoeira music instruments like Berimbau, Agogo, Pandeiro, Atabaque. I doubt I would be the top student without it.

Ninja 1 smiles then front side kicks Ron in the chest. Knocking him over. He then places a foot on his throat  adding pressure little by little.

N1: Too bad he didn't teach you how to escape a situation like this. And how to save your own skin.

Ron coughs from the air escaping his throat.

N 1: (Eases his foot off some) The next breath I allow you better be an answer. Where...Is Rodando. Where did he go?

Ron takes a deep breath in.

N 2: (Smiles) Looks like your stance of  loyalty and silence are about vain.

N1: Last chance I said, Ron. Where did he go?

Ron: (Whispers) H- he K-kipped up.

N2: He what? What does tha-

Ron summons all of his remaining strength and kipped up onto his feet.

N1 attacked him first only for Ron to turn his chair and knock him unto a small table.

He then turns and blocks a punch from ninja 2 then backed up the chair pushing both men through the wall and unto the ground outside. The impact broke the chair freeing Ron.  Ninja 2 immediately attacks him with a storm of punches and kicks. The majority of which Ron was to dodge and maneuver. Once he caught an opening Ron performs a back flip kick straight to his face. Knocking the ninja unconscious.

Ron then goes back into the shed only to find N1 gone.

He drops to hold his aching kicking leg. Hoping that by squeezing it some could some how delay any discomfort. When he lets  it go the pain is only minimal.

Ron breaths a sigh of relief and lays on his back. "And I still got a Roda tonight."
