Ruby's pov I was walking down the streets of Nottingham my dad was at the shops and I didn't want to go with him. All i could think about was how nervous I was for the exams tomorrow year 8 wasn't fun.
I was so lost in my own thoughts I didn't realise I bumped into someone. "Um hey" someone said to me I looked up he had beautiful ginger hair and some lovely pale skin. "Hi sorry for bumping into you" why am I so awkward talking to people who I don't know. "It's alright so where are you going" he was trying to start a conversation. "I don't really know I'm just going for a walk" I said it so awkward he probably hates me. "Do you want to come with me to the park I'll show you some of my friends" "of course"
I'm walking with someone to a park I don't even know. On the way there we just told each other some important information like our names. His name is Leland his 13 just like me and he loves sports he's such a dream.
We arrived at park and he lead me to some of his friends there was Jayme and Oliver I recognised them names but why. Omg there the people who I went to primary school with. There where just the same football loving freaks as before just taller. "Ruby I've missed our class so much primary-school was so much better" Jayme said making Oliver laugh.
We all exchanged phone numbers before my dad called me to see him again. I was sad having to leave them especially Leland he was so cute do I know I can't I have a crush. I'm freaking out is this what a crush feels like idk love.
I was really worried that I wouldn't meet Justin again he's so precious. I couldn't live without seeing his face again.
I met with my dad but didn't tell him about Leland. I didn't know how he would react I've never had a real crush before. I told him I went for a walk in the park he believed me luckily.
After Are little talk we went to McDonald's and the food was great as always. I got myself some large fries and a strawberry milkshake. All I could think of was Leland his hair his skin his eyes. My phone then buzzed it was a text from Ashleigh.
Ashleigh: Millie's back with Colby again.
Ruby: she's been with him like 5000 times this year.
Ashleigh: ikr I don't think she even likes him yesterday she was crushing over Ethan.
Ruby: you've got to be joking.
Ashleigh: no she texted me saying how much she wanted to date him.
Ruby: why does she want to date Ethan Like I've got nothing against Ethan but there not the right type for Millie.
Ashleigh: it's Millie like not trying to be rude but she's a little bit crazy. Also you forget to like my new Instagram post.
Ruby: I'll go like it now
