I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock blaring in my ear.
"Ugh I can't take this sound anymore, I guess you're going into the pile of my other beaten alarm clocks," I said in a sing-song voice while smashing the new square clock.
"Ops."
I got up to go get ready for another day. Since it was mid-summer in New York I decided on wearing some light colored Jeans with my favorite (fandom) t-shirt. After putting my clothes on, I went to the washroom to quickly wash my face, brush my teeth, and apply light makeup. Without any of those steps, I would look like I was a zombie on the Walking Dead.

I was in a bit of a hurry to get out of the house today because there was a certain person I was  "seeing" today. Ok. Not really, I'm probably going to be single my whole life, I just know it.
Running out of my apartment door I bumped into my favorite next door neighbor Stan. Stan was a kind and gentle man with great storytelling abilities.

"Oh hi, Stan. I'm sorry I'm in a bit of a rush today I-"

" it's ok (y/n). Oh, and good luck with him" he said while winking.

What, how does he know...

I ran down my apartments concrete steps and continued out the building's door. As soon as I stepped out the beaming sun hit my face making me squint a little.

The streets in Manhattan were busy and people were hustling around to get to their jobs on time. luckily for me, my shift at the diner doesn't start till 12:00, that's why I was on my way to my favorite coffee shop "Jim's Brew".

****

I set foot into the coffee shop and was welcomed with one of my favourite smells in the morning, freshly brewed coffee (sorry if you don't really like coffee). I went up to the counter and ordered (favorite coffee/drink) once I was handed my cup I sat down near a window close to the front of the shop. I loved to gaze off and watch the people of New York run around looking like bulls in a bull race or the little children skipping about while holding there parents hands. I really loved children, so cheery and Innocent, always full of life and filled with so many hopes and dreams. Unlike me. Oh, And they're also sooooooo cute!

I was playing candy crush on my phone, I looked up and noticed that the shop was starting to get rather busy, which was normal for this place at 10:00 but there was still no sign of him.

I went back to playing on my phone, occasionally taking a sip of my (coffee/drink), that was until a soft but deep voice said: " excuse me ma'am, is this seat taken." I glanced up a bit not really catching the man's face and told him the seat across was all his.
I went back to looking out the window. He still hadn't shown up and I was starting to doubt if he was going to come, usually, he comes on Wednesday but maybe he was busy today with hero stuff.

Steve's POV

I can't believe it I was sitting right in front of her. Now all I have to do is finally ask her out. Ughhh, What I'm I saying I know nothing about her and here I am planning a date I would probably not even have the courage to ask her out on. No wonder Tony says I have to get a life.

I had been going to this coffee shop for about a year. At first the only reason I came here was because I was on coffee duty for the rest of the Avengers, but when I spotted her I had started coming here almost every week on Wednesday just to get a look at her sparkling (e/c) eyes and her (h/c) flowing locks of silky hair.

Y/n POV

I looked around to see if I could spot if he was here.
